Ignore the internal score. If your eligible it will look something like this:

    Credit Card: £1500 offer
    Loan: £500 offer
    Overdraft: £3000
    Eligble for upgrade to Premier
    Risk score 1 A

    If it just has

Credit Card: With nothing here it wont be pre approved.

How long have you had your account?
Can I find out my credit score?
You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)

This account was opened around 7 years ago, but I've banked with TSB since I was born pre the merger with Lloyds.

When I did put the application though it said something about me being eligable to transfer up to £6,500 from another card, not that I wanted to or had that much to transfer, so thought that would go through this time as never got that far last time.

Where does it say these offers? is it on the screens in the branch or in internet banking? I have someone calling me back tomorrow from my branch and will ask about this.

Strange it does change on a monthly basis. The program with all of this data is CINS, only bank staff have access to this system. The £6500 would of been your credit limit at that time if you had completed the application.

Seems Lloyds have some clever system to recognise your account details based on your mobile number now. Calling the branch number, the call got divered to the branch support team without giving any account information other than my sort code they knew who I was and greeted me by name. Quite impressed by that side of things.
  • I wonder if I would be approved for a LloydsTSB credit card?

When I log onto internet banking, there are no specific offers for me, but if I click on credit cards in the right hand box, there is an 'apply now' button. If I click this what is the application process? Am I asked lots of questions or do they go on the info they already have about me? Do they tell you right away acceptance/credit limit etc?

I have no idea whether or not I have cpd on my account either? I have the option to upgrade my account - a silver account is offered but if I click on compare with all accounts I have the option to apply for any other account. I have the option to increase my overdraft or open another account. If I get a loan quote, they all seem to be 24.9%.

    Confusing!

All the options appear to be there then nothing will stop you applying. However this is the bank that likes to say No these days.

I'm about to give up with Lloyds TSB, will try one last time as this will be like the 3rd time lucky hopefully, though none of the previous searches have appeared on the CRAs for some strange reason. The two previous ones were declined, the first cause I failed to realise they do not do real time checks at the CRA with old adverse information, another search because I was led to believe they had done a monthly update from Experian with all the adverse gone on Thursday night (I applied Friday).

I'll try again Monday if I can get hold of the adviser in branch who was going to call me back today and check CINS / internal score again before I do and if that does not go through, I'm off to find another bank as I need one that's going to accept me for a mortgage and if I cannot get a credit card with them then I doubt they'll have me as a mortgage customer either even though they have me as a low risk customer 1B seems to count for nothing.
  • When you press apply - what questions does it ask then, if any?

    I'm tempted......lol

For the card it's strange. The first time it did not really ask much at all. It just asked for details of salary and any cards I hold and who I worked for and how long.

The second time I applied it went into more detail, including the option to pay off any existing credit cards with up to £6,500 but don't have any so just ignored that bit. Also did online signature and said they would carry out a credit check. Today Experian have not recorded any search from Lloyds TSB which I find kind of odd as when I called phonebank up yesterday afternoon they told me it had declined.

I think so long as you don't have the silly banners at the bottom of your internet banking then the data should be positive, though I am guessing at that. I'm just saying that as I've never had a "My Offers" screen where they used to be and all of a sudden they dissappeared Thursday night which coincides with the monthly updates they do with Experian I was led to believe around the 20th of the month.
