Christmas booze i get from Lidl/Aldi they do some fab blood orange vodka thats only £4.99 a bottle, some great little dutch beers that are 2.99 for 10 and they do plenty of other cheap spirits too.
Only thing i don't recommend from their is their equivalent to Baileys - tastes really harsh and has a chronic after tastes (think they must add turps or something to it) :p

If you're looking for a Baileys equivalent, may I recommend something called "Irish Knights" from Asda. Its about £3 a bottle and it really is very nice, so don't be put off by the price ;) - Mr Piglet and I discovered it a couple of years ago (he is a pastry chef and was looking for a Baileys flavour to add to chocolates/desserts) so we bought a bottle...and of course, we had to try a quick glass before testing it out in the desserts :p - otherwise we might have wasted all the other ingredients!!:rotfl:

We had already tried various other alternatives at £6/7 a bottle, but we really found them nasty, whereas this one is quite drinkable just as it is...! No, its not "real" Baileys, but at that price, it makes a very acceptable alternative...

Do u freeze uncooked? and bake from frozen when needed? I would guess thats the right way, just checking to avoid any xmas disasters!!

good bargain at the moment is Whitworths Sage and Onion Stuffing, 15p a box in Home Bargains Sheffield, with a use by date of February 2007! I bought 3 boxes the other day. mind you, seeing as we are stuffing mad in our house, doubt if it will last till xmas!!!

Home bargains in Sheffield also have big jars of beetroot and pickled onions, no idea how much they were, but will surely investigate in weeks to come
You're so very special, I wish I was special
