I'd call CS, give them the info and ask them to contact the fraud dept and get an update for you. (fraud closes as 5.30 week days btw).0 -
DOB is just one of the security checks on the account, it doesn't have to be accurate. It's like asking you your mother's maiden name, you can give anything you like, as long as it matches what they have recorded on their system then you pass that check.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

I contacted customer service,
They tell me the account number of this account no longer exists and the only account open at my old address is now in some one elses name?
They give me a number for the fraud department.. 08703768020
but i get no were with that number
Does this mean they have investigated and found the real person that opened it?
It is still showing on my credit report.

The CS staff can only see live acc unless they've been there a while and know how the system works. So something happening with it.
There is no number for the fraud dept, it not a 'customer facing dept' (I hate that term). I have no idea where they've found that 0870 number? All Orange number will look like mobile numbers.
It could still be being investigate, there no way to tell without fraud level access.
I'd suggest you call CS in the morning (the fraud dept only take calls from CS between 9 and 12 at weekends) and get them to run the info you have past who evers in. Ask them to call the Bristol fraud dept and get you an answer.0 -

Rang them again and even though i have sent a letter in they state:
Your D.O.B is the same on your orange PAYG phone so there for this is your account and you are liable!

If this is not sorted soon i will take legal action, the letting agents of my old property can prove i have not had access to the property since may 09 and the account was opened december 09.
I asked them about 10 times can i please be put through to the fraud department, or at least they speak to them on my behalf.
They put me on hold each time and just came back with the same thing they didn;t once speak to the fraud department!
I am so annoyed!0 -
