I was assuming you worked in some capacity which invovled having no respect for other human beings.
So you're basically saying that all people that work on tills don't have respect for others. I'm sure plenty of people that visit this site work behind tills in retail, serving snobby, stuck-up idiots like yourself. It's no wonder that your experience of till staff is that they don't treat you with respect if you have such prejudice towards them.0 -

Ah-ha!!!
So now the boot is on the other foot it isn't so nice, is it?
I'm sorry to have lied to prove a point here, of course I don't look down on people who work hard for precious little thanks or money - I have worked on the tills (and sometimes I still do) and sometimes it is awful (aka payday, LOL), but that horrible attitude of looking down on other people is the same one that those people in the cinema displayed to the other patrons.
We are all equal. Wherever we were born, to whoever, with whatever financial background. Those people in the cinema who deliberately spoil the film are also being affected and snobby in their own way by assuming that everyone else wants to listen to them.
Maybe I am a little uptight about it, because going to the cinema is a rare treat for me, living in london - £12 a throw is not a drop in the ocean to me and when others make that choice to take pleasure in upsetting others, they are basically telling me that they regard me and the other people in the cinema as something that crawled out from under a brick.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. You didn't lie to prove a point at all. You got caught out being a hypocrite.
Anyway, time to lighten up now, this is really dull.
Just to recap: Sex and the City sucks. Anyone else who thinks differently is wrong. I'm right, you're wrong.0 -

I did lie, as I work on a till myself from time to time and I know it's a thankless task.
You are just trying to backpeddle as I finally managed to get a rise out of you and prove that you are not this harda**, uncaring wise-cracker that you make yourself out to be.
You get upset about the unjust treatment of others same as the rest of us.
I haven't actually yet disclosed an opinion on Sex & the City, which you seem to have missed altogether. I hated the film and found it deeply patronising and cringeworthy most of the time and was hugely disappointed to have paid money (90 minutes of work worth of money) to see it, but this doesn't justify my behaving like a brat in the cinema now, does it?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. People Power that.
I hope you stood for the National Anthem.0 -
Ive not really had any problems with going to the cinema except 1 instance a few months back where a group of girls of young age 16 or 17 would constantly talk through the film, they only stopped when a woman beind me told them off. I wented to throw a bottle at them to get them to be quiet but i didnt have 1 at hand.0

I used to work at a cinema, not Odeon. But screen checks weren't priority, unless it's a very busy film - new releases. Especially during quiet times as there is not enough staff. The weekends the security guard does screen checks as well.
I hated people talking through films, some people at the cinema were so rude. Especially if they came in 5 minutes in the film and expected a seat in the best place and when you said there's only seats at the front they have a go at you. Once we had to pause the film at the start to sort out a dispute.0
