Just got a tweet stating that tune hotels dot com are launching rooms in their new hotel in Westminster London at 1p each - visit the site there is a countdown to the launch at the top and it will be in around 7 days so make a diary note !
They are 5 star rooms at a 1 star price and after the launch will cost only £35 according to reports.

Looks like a bargain but judging by the pictures ... their idea of 5* is not the same as mine.0 -
they are (very obviously) not 5* hotels at all - they don't claim to be.' Our limited service hotels offer a 5-star sleeping experience'
They claim that their beds are made by the same people that supply 5* hotels, not quite the same thing.
I am sure that they will be worth at least 1p, however!0 -
Have you seen the price of all the add on's. You don't even get towels. tv extra Will add up if you want these, ok,fine at 1p, but at normal price might not be such a bargain

thanks for this!
any idea when the hotel itself will be opening?

What do you expect for a 1p...its no different to how Ryan Air operate and people still use them..The Easyhotel chain even charge you if you want a window in your room!!!!!0 -

I often stay at Tune Hotels, usually Kuala Lumpur but I've also stayed at on on Bali. Ideal for an overnight stop-over especially if you can get them for a couple of quid a night like I do sometimes.
The good points,
They can be VERY cheap.
They are often at very good practical locations.
The beds are VERY comfortable and big.
The bad bit, the room can be very small, just enough room to walk around the bed sometimes, but hey, Bali for £2 per nigh who cares!0
