:DAfternoon all
Have spent a couple of hours in the garden, planted some cue plants and some more tomatoes my sis gave me yesterday, if all my toms take off I shall have about a ton to find a use for
, also planted out some corgette plants, and tidied up, and strimmed the front.
The neighbours at the back had been screaming again, till I started singing at the top of my voice to let them know I could hear them :rotfl:
Have been up and dismantled the wooden base of the bed in the spare room as much as I can, will have to leave the rest to OH cos it has an electric cable coming out, and he told me I must not touch it (i'm too accident prone
)
Just had a ham sandwich for lunch, going to find something else to do now to keep me from falling asleep.
Hilstep, what a shame about your holiday, and your poor dad, my heart goes out to him, and you x
Beemuzed, how sad for your ds, but I can understand that she has to look after herself x
Anniestar even by my standards you have some strange dreams :rotfl:
Have fun all x0 -

Hi all,
changed my mind and did the conservatory instead, as my window cleaner had been and done the outsides for me.Its taken me three and a half hours to clean a conservarory 6x10.But although I'm cream crackered its gleaming now and I also had a good throw out of some of the ornaments (dustcatchers) in there. It looks splendid now ,only trouble is it makes the rest of the house look a bit sad and dowdy.Still tomorrows another day I'm not doing any more today as I think I have done enough.
tru my late ma-in-law had a collie that started to steal her eggs and she did the same thing with a couple of eggs and some mustard and it worked a treat ,dog soon stopped doing it when it had a mouth full of mustard.
DGD just rang in a panic her bus has gone awol so I have to dash to get her to college ,so much for putting my feet up .Oh well onwards and upwards
Cheers JackieO xx0 -
Just had a lovely picnic in the park with OH, came back with almost a full thermos of coffee. So that will last us till later, fingers crossed.
Jc : -i love Yarm, especially the high street, but the house prices are way too high for me sadly. Love paddling around trout beck near there. No doubt you'll see me codding about the place checking out the shops while dragging two kids behind me.
Hung out DS2's bedding, the little fella had an accident so had to do loads of washing today.
Just signed up to the weekly spend challenge on DFW forum, so going to try and keep my spending in check. so i now have a whopping £9.37 to last me (this is for shopping too eek:eek:).
Right to going to crack back on with the cleaning x0 -
BITSY - I'm jealous that you went to Ragley Hall, I'd love to visit as my GGrandfather worked on the estate as a carpenter - shame we live 4 hours away. One day I will get there!
There isn't loads to look at in the house - was suprised that DS wanted to go look in the "castle"
but there is only a few rooms open. The remainder of the house is still lived in by the Marquis of Hertford and his family so I guess they need all the space they can get. We attempted the woodland walk but it was so hot and with only a single pushchair the kids were getting a bit fractious at times so we cut it short. DS loved the adventure park although I had a mini heart attack when DD yanked her hand from mine in the maze and then promptly disappeared :eek::eek::eek: I was in near panic for several minutes, screaming her name
until she emerged from a dead end where she'd been hiding (her new game). Needless to say we beat a hasty retreat from there and my heart finally stopped racing about an hour later. Not something I EVER want to repeat.
Anyway got the tennis on and I'd love to be able to sit out and enjoy the sunshine......pity I can't do both
All of you are putting me to shame - I've got no "get up and go" today - should really do some dusting whilst DD is sleeping but I just can't be bothered.

Tea tonight will be new pots, salad or veg with some ham that I cooked in SC overnight. It was a massive piece I bought ages ago and it wouldn't fit in the SC whole so have cut it in half and cooking it in two stages.
beemuzed - sorry to hear about your son's partner. What a difficult situation to be in xx
jackieg - good luck with your weigh in x
hilstep - sorry to hear your holiday was pants
And wow can't believe your GD is now 9 weeks old!
nmlc - hug for you, sorry you're feeling fed up xx
csarina - hugs - sorry you can't get away for a break xx
anniestar - sorry to see you're stressed xx
OK need to get my butt into gear.
Hugs for those that need them or are MIA. Have a good day OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

My mum and dad bought their first house in yarm before it got the fashionable price tag!Jc : -i love Yarm, especially the high street, but the house prices are way too high for me sadly. spent many an hour sunbathing and horse riding down trout beck in my youth...happy days
And these days when I do get to Yarm you're more likely to find me in a beer garden that the shops
Took my 'citygirl' friend from here to Yarm last year and she couldn't stop laughing at the part time police station...said it was like something out of heartbeat :rotfl:Climbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

just found out DD2 is being bullied at school, she had to be brought home absolutely distraught , and its by her supposed best friends.
she has had the most wonderful trip to strasborg over the weekend and walked back into that completely unaware!. she won the trip after a being picked as an outstanding pupil.
they have put death threats on face book too. I just dont know what to do , I am waiting for her teacher to phone me.
how come she is beside herself at home and they are still at school as if nothing has happened and probably spreading the lies ! she said no-one would speak to her because of what they had said0 -

Can you take a screen print of FB and copy it to word - that way stuff can't be deleted and then denied. I'd be taking a copy round to this girls parents and discussing the situation with them direct too.
