grrrrrr:mad::mad:thats better ...just got dd from school and thought i would stop and get dog food on way home .i normally avoid taking her there because of her horse madness which usually ends in her asking for pony me saying no etc and lo and behold it ended with her marching out the shop after yelling at me .i said "do not speak to me like that "and lightly held her arm to stop her walking off and she shouted at the top of her voice "dont hit me your hurting me let go "how i kept my temper i have no clue but i was mortified
now sorry for the rant but what do you all think i should do now? tmrw we have planned to spend the day with her aunties who she adores and dh said to leave her behind with him and go on my own but do you think thats harsh?

nannyboo life gets in the way sometimes when we want to do the ordinary thing like cleaning - sorting out the sale of the house for your Mum is a biggy so dont be hard on yourself - as you say it has taken away the money worries - and WTG with the weight loss thats fantastic:T:T:T:T:T
mudders stripes knows I love her to bits - nice try:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
nev honey she needs to undersatnd the implications of what she did - someone could quite easily have taken what she said as being true and reported you to the social services/ child protection of whatever it is called - leave her at home - she might learn when she has to forgoe something she likes doing - and tell Dh not to spoil her either!!

That only applies to the under 25's:D You text away!!

nev~~ I would have a chat with her, about how to behave in public, then explain the standard you expect and go from there, tell her also what happens if she falls below the expected standard, ie loss of going out, iplayer etc

  • Afternoon!

Have a nice, sparkly living room, a useable bathroom, a fairly hygienic kitchen, an uncluttered hallway and two bedrooms - well, let's just ignore the bedrooms, shall we? :D

Still waiting for DD2's coach to get back. They have apparently been lost in the Twilight Zone that is the M25 on a Friday afternoon. Only two and a half hours late so far.

So, I was into the full music-and-cleaning session that has gone on all day so far...

[Knock, Knock] Front door swings open, as it was on the catch.

Caller gets hit by wall of Blitzkreig Bop, dimming slightly as I stand in the doorway, with can of Mr Sheen and polishing cloth in hands.

    Hello?

'I'm from the Council' (the uniform with X Council emblazoned across was a clue, but I'll let that go)

    Yes?

'There are bin bags outside your door'

    Yes. I'm cleaning.

'So they are rubbish for the bin?'

[look down at my hands and consider whether I have jumped into a parallel universe]

    Yes. I Am. Cleaning.

Silence from him. Silence from me. Silence from the speakers.

And then the Clash come in perfectly on cue. Should I Stay or Should I Go. I do the eyebrow thing (that the DDs say means I'm inviting them to have a go if they think they're hard enough).

'OK. Just checking. I'll be off now'

    Okaaayyyyyy.

Whoever has the stinky bin, once it is clean again (just think of it as fishing bait, not the alternative description), chuck a few handfuls of white cat litter in the bottom - any sloppy stuff that leaks is absorbed and it cuts down on the stinks.

Right, have added a huge number of CDs onto my MacBook now, so the neighbours have been suffering for about 8 hours now. Payback for the years when they have done it to me - but I sing too :D.

Shall have a quick drink before I get the text to say the coach is about 5 miles away. Hopefully I won't have to pinch a shopping trolley to get her back home as she will have the energy to walk.

Right - Time for The Who now...

[Pinball Wizard cranked up to 11]
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
