Nice chat with neice, too - told her about the condoms and everything DS told me yesterday - turns out her mum (my sister) had 'the chat' with her when she was 19 and had been seeing a b/f for 3 years...so she was too late. Feel pleased that I am able to have chats with DS and he with me.
It's good that you talked to your DS so openly - 19 is DEFINITELY too late. My dad (please note, my dad, not my mum!) had several chats with me when i was about 14 - but then again, he's a GP and knows exactly what there is to worry about....

Mudders - well done on the weight loss. I was weighed and measured again today, so went back over my stats - I've had a bit of a plateau recently (stress, but that's now dealt with) but have started losing again. Total weight loss since I was first weighed is now 8kgs (18lbs!). I'm pleased that I'm now well into my second stone, and hopefully that will give me the incentive to keep going. As a result, I've finally made an appointment to see my GP, something I've been putting off for ages as she usually nags me about my weight.

Went to Ikea yesterday and got shelves for the shed, one set of which is up, so I hope to get stuff on them this weekend and start making more space there and in the utility room. Hopefully that will result in more space in the rest of the house!

There was lots more I was going to say, but somehow I seem to have forgotten it, so hugs all round.

    Afternoon all

Today I've taken the dog to the vet for her booster and to pick up some of her tablets and medicine. £177.52:eek:

I've done some washing and that's all dry and put away.

Polished in the living room and vacuumed right through downstairs.

Made a sponge and an apple cake.

    Dinner is cooking now.

DS is coming down this afternoon for a couple of days :)

hey - i'm having a desperate moment, because my bin reeks....

it's the outside one, and i'm not brave enough to empty it. and remove the really offensive meat that is now a public health hazard....

i have to wait for wednesday to get it removed.... the council have told me i should have double bagged - really useful after the event of throwing something out....

in the meantime is there anything that i can add to it that might help with the smell - i have normal household products in and peopel coming round tonight.....

please help - also sorry if this has been asked before but the peopel coming round was last minute and i have to clean so no time to look....... (also this is a doubvle post as the smell is soooo awful i am hoping that someone can help me get rid of it.....)

thank you all sooooooo much for being the guru's of all things clean and tidy.

Get some really strong bin liners, and rebag your rubbish, tie it tight. I can't think of anything that would mask the smell shhort of removing the stinking stuff and freezing it solid and you're not going to do that. But one of the other experts will be along shortly.

Double bagging (be brave) will help and also minimise the chances of little visitors crawling out.

    Lol at Nev!

    In my 4th HHC i

    Tidied dining room
    Tidied stairs again
Got Ds2 to get behind the tv and remove all the carp from behind there

I'm completely shattered now so am having a coffee and a sit down until it's time for the school run. I'll get Ds2 to tidy up and i'll run the hoover around the living room when we get back. The downstairs will then be presentable, the upstairs however is in CHAOS. He won't be going upstairs hopefully so it'll be ok.

Nev that'll teach you, i thought you were going to do a HHC with me. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
