Repairing a Roomba - Any success stories?

The batteries went in our original Roomba after less than a year. It was cheaper to buy a complete cheap knock-off roomba (which works just as well) than to buy a Roomba battery pack. The old Roomba is just gathering dust under the stairs.
OK. What model is the defective Roomba and what model is the current one? When I was 5, my dad told me that the ice-cream van only played songs when it's out of ice-cream. Cheek!:mad:0 -
Hi, we have a copy of a Roomba and the battery went a while ago and doesn't charge. It is sat in the garage after finding out is more to buy a new charger.0

Are you saying that you had to purchase a new charger (adapter)? When I was 5, my dad told me that the ice-cream van only played songs when it's out of ice-cream. Cheek!:mad:0 -
I agree. That OEM batteries cost around £59 - £60 while the replacements from about £30 on ebay. Im currently testing the difference between the OEM and Replacements. The Roomba can also navigate on rugs but a modification is needed of the Cleaning Head Module. By chance you know the height of your rug in cm?When I was 5, my dad told me that the ice-cream van only played songs when it's out of ice-cream. Cheek!:mad:0

Hi. No. That is only if the Roomba needs a new logicboard. I do component-level repair and most of the ICs are extremely hard to get. But so far with 95% of the repairs I get, I charge between £49.99 to £79.99.When I was 5, my dad told me that the ice-cream van only played songs when it's out of ice-cream. Cheek!:mad:0 -

Has anyone managed to get a Roomba Repaired? I've seen a few threads asking where to get a Roomba repaired since Domtec went into receivership, but not one saying that they have managed to get a repair done?
If you have managed to get your faulty Roomba fixed, did you have this done in the UK or did you have to send it abroad? and how much did it cost?
Many thanks for any replies :T
Is it still under guarentee?0
