They have already raised the qualifying date in England to be in line with when a woman will be entitled to state pension, in Scotland and Wales it remains at 60.

Agree but they have just announced this morning that they are thinking of extending the qualifying date even further..........

As the free bus pass is a concession and not a state benefit, I guess 'they' can pretty much do what they choose.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

So do we all, trouble is these days high interest saving rates are a pipe dream compared to a year or so back when 7% was readily available
5 locked away for years, or maybe around 3% including bonus

It's been on the local radio that in this area Merseytravel are going to continue issuing the 'free' travel pass to 60 year olds.

Just to tell you all my bus pass arrived today!

My friend (aged only 46) tells me it's called a Twirly Card.

(Apaprently us old'uns arrive at the bus stop waving our card and say 'Am I too early?' ).
