Will look into the voucher deals, must admit I only have £2.50 worth of vouchers, despite spending must be near £1,500 on the card over time.

Still can't complain it's all been interest free, so it's money/vouchers for nothing as such.
  • If you can use the voucher deals, they're great. I've only been able to make use of them once, for airport parking, but that's no longer available.

By my August statement my 0% on purchases introductory offer finishes.

Do you have this information on statement, expiry date of the 0% promotion?

I've got Tesco card with 12 month 0% promotion and according to their T&C it's for 12 months from opening account which in my case will be somewhere in July. I've got my latest statement dated 22/06/2010 and there's no expiration date of 0% promotion.

I'm not sure when promotion ends. Should I get expiry date of 0% on my next statement in July? I don't want to be caught by unexpected/unknown end date and pay any interest on the current balance on the card.

In past, due to errors in Lloyds system, my 6 months 0% promotion lasted for 18 months. So I'm not sure if lack of promotion end date on Tesco statement is standard or error in their system. Maybe I get lucky again?

Anyone has this one and can give me their views on it?

As a credit card it works pretty much like any other credit card.

As a source of earning Tesco points it's useful if you are interested in earning Tesco points.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

Like others I can recommend it. Opened the account last July so my 0% purchase deal coming to and end - to Penelope Pitstop, I phoned a few days ago to check when I need to pay the balance off to avoid interest. That information doesn't seem to be on the statement.
  • Ok, thanks. Then I will call them too. But I think it's strange there's no expiration date on statement. It's just empty space there. What's the point of putting expiration date column and not putting any date there? Confuse customer?

I only get online statements, but you are able to view/download your paper statement.

On my June statement (10th June in my case) on the first page, on the left hand side under IMPORTANT INFORMATION it says.
    IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please note that your introductory purchase
rate will expire 10/08/2010, the standard
monthly variable rate will apply after that date.

I would check your April/May/June statements.
  • Thanks a lot. I found this "important information" on my May statement. I always looked at the expiry date on the second page and assumed I will see it closer to promotion end. I didn't look for it at first page and not in May statement.

I think it's confusing and not clearly stated. The information is not repeated on later statements.

Must admit in the past, I've looked on the second page myself for when it was due to run out, but unlike with my Virgin card statement it wasn't shown.

It's strange because while it is prominent after you have seen it, it's not where you expect it to be, so could well be overlooked by many. I would imagine any up or down of your apr will get shown there as well and possibly any 0% offers in the future.

I knew when roughly it was due to finish anyway and always intended to be clear at least 6 weeks before it run out.

Yes, well spotted. On my May statement but not the June one, just as well I knew when it was going to expire.
