Cant really see anything in the log

    TICK and FIX this ~
    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - *{CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497} - (no file)

Whatever it was its probably long gone, but to be on the safe side id suggest as follows ~
Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM QUICK SCAN then click SCAN
Remove everything thats found (needs to be ticked)
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds
If anything was found then do the exact same but run a FULL scan

As for adobe, im a little stumped

Can you confirm that the DOWNLOAD MANAGER actually works and that its just not downloading once open? (Please be as specific as you can)

Try the adobe removal tool after malwarebytes and then attempt a reinstall of flash

Hi, Having trouble scanning.system denied write access to the host file

You seem to try to install the Adobe Reader without administrator rights. Download the setup file, then (SHIFT+)right click on it and chose "run as administrator"

I scan daily with malwarebytes, will post it though, never picked anything up yet.Still trying to get java, removal, download to take old data off. this all occurred with secunia, saying needs patching. usually very good,,java, sometimes headache, someone else has same bother. 97% at present till I can get patched. thanks for everything once again, much appreciated

There are 2 end of life security patches, updates from java that need doing, old ones I presume. The removal tool I have downloaded, from secunia, to desktop, will not let me run, to remove the 2+ any other old data. All I can do is save or open, not run. the tool comprises 3 parts, but can only open, not run, same as highjack, loads of data, but I don,t know which to delete manually, the tool is supposed to do it. gets rid of the dross, never used it before.

Hi tronator, I have successfully managed to run the tool without "run as admin", no idea why now and not before, same as adobe. Gremlins in pc today. Now i have used it, I know for future reference your recommendations, very grateful, also to alien. You have been very patient and helpful:beer: For some reason I have never had cause to run as admin, as I am the admin, but, thats what I think I am?
