that cant be true
RM are telling everyone mail is down and staff dont work their hours

you see heres the issue.
why are you happy for items to be left unsecure anywhere?
staff shouldnt be door stepping anything, its their jobs they risk
If only RM would actually stamp down on this and ensure all items are carded and returned
as for 'bundling up the parcels' well heres a shock
theres a finite amount of space in a red bag,if you fill it with packets then where does the mail go?
I didn't say i was happy for them to leave it. My point was they don't have and consistancy to what they do, either they card everything or leave everything in a hidden place. Why leave the odd parcel essp on the doorstep when i have an open shed and greenhouse. The odd parcels are never the ones i needed urgently they always seem to be the more expensive items. I know the postie doesn't know this it's just annoying that they seem to do whatever suits them with regards to leaving them or not.
Perhaps the postie will start delivering all my letters in the van because his bags full in that case then?
I can't help but fnd it rather annoying that they insist on bundling up my large letter packet with a much bigger parcel. The LL could fit through the letterbox but instead i'm out in the afternoon when the van comes and beacuse said postie can't be as*ed to undo the band, takes it back to the SO.
and what happened to leaving parcels with neighbours no postie has done that for years for me do they not do this anymore?0 -

how many questions do yuo want answered?
you want then carded, you want them left, you want them left with neighbours?
well I can tell you, going through a georoute review(the software RM use to design walking duties) you will find that it doesnt allow for the time to go around knocking on other doors
its all timed to the second
as far as Im concerned everything should be carded excepting "safeplace" (an RM service to retailers) then theres no issues
people cry and whine but its the same for everyone(RM unofficially dont want parcels carded as it requires more staff on the callers office)
you have a seperate van/foot postie just now so your local office hasnt had a full Georoute review
just wait, you will see what you have now as the good old days0 -

We have a lovely Parcelforce man here who came and found me at a bus stop to ask what he should do with the single mattress he had for my address and I signed for it and he out it somewhere safe for me. Here we have cupboards meant for rubbish by the front door and the posties tend to leave packets in there unless it's just before bin day.
I was a bit shocked when HDNL (?) left a wii that was the kid's christmas present actually in the rubbish bin when there was space on the top shelf.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

You are very lucky, as Parcelforce don't deliver anything as big as a mattress normally.0 -
My postman's brilliant. He never leaves anything in full view for people to pinch, always hides parcels if no-one's in.0

It had been rolled up! It was only a cheapy ebay single one because I have a commited 6yr old bedwetter and I got sick of upstairs smelling like a urinal no matter WHAT you put on the other mattress to scrub it out. I've had all sorts of huge things delivered by them (OH hates to go shopping so we have to do almost EVERYTHING online - hence getting to know the nice parcelforce man!)Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

I presume you mean a foam mattress?
Why don't you use a breathable waterproof mattress protector?0
