  • Most i've won on the lottery was £1,323 last April, getting 5 numbers!

Husband was in complete state of shock!! I made a cup of tea! haha

Did also win on the Grand National 100/1 that same week, and the Scottish national a week later!
Not much luck since, hoping things will change!! :)

Lottery prizes vary so much, was your 1.3k good for 5 no's??

Thunderball is good for strict prizes.

Where did you keep your ticket?? I wrote my details on the back, put it in clear plastic pocket and took pictures of it, kept checking still there!!!

Congrats on your win-the most i've ever won is a tenner. If i could get back all the money i've spent on the lotto over the years i'd probably be sitting on a nice amount!

I think 1.5k is average for 5 numbers, I was happy regardless, it paid for 2 new sofa's which I would never have been able to get!,
We didn't find out until the next morning, and hubby came running up the stairs with the ticket, he went straight to the post office and got £500 and the rest in a cheque ;)
I did re-read the numbers though, just to be sure!!

I luv cats;34015715]Thunderball is good for strict prizes.

Dream number is better odds for the chance of £5,000 to £50,000.

Thunderball third prize is £250 (odds around 47,000)
Dream number 3rd prize is £5,000 (odds around 100,000)-just over twice as hard to win but a 20 times bigger prize

Thunderball second prize £5,000 (odds around 620,000)
Dream number 2nd prize £50,000 (odds around 1,000,000)- just over 60% harder to win but 10 times the prize (and the £5,000 on Thunderball is 6 times harder to win than it is on Dream number).

The jackpots are the same at £500,000 and Dream number is 25% harder to win (10 million vs 8 million).

When they changed Thunderball the jackpot was doubled but the odds against winning it more than doubled, the odds against winning £5k also more than doubled but the prize remained unchanged and it got harder to win all the other prizes but they remained unchanged. The £3 back for matching the Thunderball was introduced to bring the game closer to the scratchcard type of payout where people keep going back for their £1, £2, £3 "wins".

If your numbers are not drawn though it doesn't matter what the odds are.

    Oooh well done :D

Rarely do the lotto. Hubby does, but we never seem to win - and most friends and family seem to do it. The odd tenner every few months, but not often. I just hope my friends and family remember me when they win it! ;)
