Well done on your win. I don't play the UK lottery i play the Irish lottery - you get £300 for 3 number on the Irish and ive had a few wins on it.

An excellent win. The most i ever won on the lottery was £10 after years and years.
2 years ago when we relocated to the area we wanted to live in and managed to get a house we can imagine ourselves living in forever we stopped doing the lottery on a regular basis as we felt we had "won" already.

Well done to you on your win!

Well done...I have only ever done the lottery once ...the very first ever draw....I thought if I buy one the following week I'd be hooked and probably end up doing it every week, I have friends who say they dare not stop as they have the same numbers every week and if they don't get the ticket their numbers will prob come out...never even watched it since that first time.Never bought a scratchcard either.I see people handing over lots of money every week at CS in T's and although I know I will never win, I know how much I have not spent over the years

Posted this on my other thread.

My cheque has Post Office/National Lottery on it but that didn't mean anything.

It cleared the next day (?) and my bank withdrew it along with my avail funds causing my account to be o/d where it can't be!! (?)

They say I have to wait a week so it is unlikely to bounce and there is no liability on both sides!! My balance now only reflects the original amount and it is up to somebody to add the cheque value (3pm+) on Wednesday.

A right pain in the derierre!!!!

Not unusual - I've paid in cheques from reputable solicitors for substantial amounts, the solicitors seemed to think they would clear immediately but I had to wait for 3 or 4 days for it to clear. Fortunately I did not spend any of it before it cleared though, must be slightly annoying for you to have all that money but not "have" it. Enjoy spending!!
