The 1st question was about an automatic gearbox fault..

Yours is about the engine temp sensor or level sensor.

Check the coolant level is ok, if it is, it's probably the temperature sensor. Check the plug is on it correctly, if it is, it probably needs a new sensor.
  • I have a 2009 vauxhall astra twintop 2.0 turbo, and the light (car with a spanner threw it) has come on, and it drives in limp mode if you go over 3500 rmp aprox. I took the car to vauxhall but they didnt want to no, and told me the boost sensors are hanging, I cleared the light and it stayed off while still and reving, but as soon as I drove it the light came back on, Then I went for a drive aproxx 15miles and the light went out and the car drove how it should do, but came back on this morning and is how it was. I have done the pedal test and got two codes. 1243 and 1106. Does anybody no what these codes are, or any advice, thanks WILLOW78. The car has been remapped thats why vauxhall didnt want to no..

Check simple things first any boost leaks? ... Split or collapsed hoses...?

P1106 is more than likely a knackered or dirty Map sensor..

P1243 again is boost related... recirc valve solenoid

Needs Tech 2 ing really to see Live data... i.e boost its holding and what the sensors are reading and when.
  • Thanks for all replys, think ive found out what the codes are

    :- P1106 Boost pressure sensor circuit range/performance B-018

:- p1243 Turbocharger bypass solenoid valve circuit high voltage C-033
:-p1243 Turbocharger bypass solenoid valve circuit low voltage C-003
:-p1243 Turbocharger bypass solenoid valve circuit open C-033

    :-p1243 Turbocharger bypass valve range/performance C-033

Just got to work out if its one of the p1243 or all of them. Once again thanks for all your comments. WILLOW78
