I've reported more of his listings but nothing seems to be happening.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Woohoo! I'm normal! Gotta go tell the cat.0 -
To be honest what is the problem with doing this?
Yes I know some people think it goes against some sort of moral code, but the person is just trying to make a living whilst saving a little money (is that not the point of this website?)
He has not lied to anybody or missrepresented the item in anyway.
He has just been clever enough to exploit the system to his own needs.
How many people on here send off for freebies for everyday items just because it is free and then get relatives to do the same for them, and once they have used the item are they really ever going to buy the product again?. Or how about people complaining to companies just to get something free without ever having purchased anythimg in the first place? I know I get numerous freebies and this means I dont have to spend money on buying things such as razors, deoderant, moistureriser etc. This saves a lot of money.
I am sure you will all think and say I don't do that but really think about it their are many that do. You just have to look at the millies thread on freebies to see people are talking about exploiting a system for thier own gain.
People are always exploiting the system.
lets look at freecycle.
How many people get items free and then sell them on carboot sales and market stalls and even ebay?. It has even been mentioned on threads on this site that members of this forum do that.
I am not condoning it, but I dont see people trying to bust them.
Also can I point out that if you are not buying anything from that seller and you have no interest in the items then why are you all getting so worked up about it?. Have you nothing better to do than stop a person making a living that is lets be honest not illegal? It may be seen as morally wrong by some people but it is not illegal.
I for one applaud him for his ingenuity and hopes he continues making a better life for himself and his familly if he has one.
I really dont mind if you all post and say that what I am saying is wrong, However their are many people I have spoken to about this at work today and they all agree. Why not save a little extra? Good luck to them. At the end of the day what they are doing it isn't costing you anything.0 -
why shoudl all other sellers have to pay full price for the listings? otherwise, EVERYBODY would do that - have the item at BIN 99p and have the shipping at £200 or so.Never do things tomorow when you can do them today.0

Indeed why should you?
This site promotes trying to get yourself discounted items.
I was simply congratulating this person on doing what all other people are doing on this site and that is giving the corporations less of thier hard earned money.
Those people that are clever enough to save money should be applauded and not knocked down.
I had a quick look at some random searches on ebay and it is littered with people doing this.
Time to get over it.0 -

So a person to save money can take money from a huge business?
The seller uses the eBays reputation to get his items sold, eBay still had to market its brand to the public which costs millions. The seller would have a difficult time selling his items without such sites.
Its just as bad as those who sell items that people have worked hard on such as pirated CDs. You basically give the seller money for stealing from the record company and the artist, no matter how much you think CDs are a rip off nowadays, you have the option not to buy, you clearly know the price.
To use the services or eBay and other auction sites you should pay for the services they offer, not try to pay as little as you can.0 -
Just looked and it states the item has ended. Perhaps someone has bought it and testing out the Sale of Goods Act as mentioned in # 15 or ebay has removed it. Either way as we say in Englad, "Its just not cricket".To Dare is To Do:beer:0

Poppycat wrote:I thought that too, why hasnt Ebay banned him he clearly breaking the rules. It seems Ebay pretty much do what they like and went it suits them, money is there only motive.
Have you also noticed how he isnt registered as a business seller when he clearly is buying items to sell. This is mostly because he will (wrongly) believe that this will let him off his obligations under the sale of goods act!
Its great to see the concerted effort put into reporting this guy by most people here. However, this is one of just thousands of similar listings on eBay at any one time and look at the result of all our reports....he continues to trade and continues to list with excessive postage....how deflating is that.
And to those supporting what guys like this do.....lets liken it to those people that dont pay their council tax which results in increases for the rest of us....whats the solution here? Get tough with the non payers or lets all of us stop paying it??0 -

So why do we bother trying to report this, ebay never listen:beer:0 -
Charging 300 quid for postage most certainly taking the mick.
Predicting your 300 quid item will cost about 5-10 in fees, and slapping it into postage (i.e. postage costing 40 rather than 30) = being reasonable.
Like that Ebay gets their fees, fair ebay users don't get disadvantaged with hiked fees, and the buyer gets a bargain0
