    Morning All

First load of washing out and it decided to rain, as it was already wet I have left it as only .5mm forecast, no sign of the promised afternoon sun yet, very cloudy, but muggy.

Caravan now emptied, second load of washing on, two more clothes loads to go, then bedding and towels. At this rate will not do any more until tomorrow when it is currently forecast dry.

Piles of unused (warm weather) clothes on my bed, now to decide what is going to Spain and when goes back in the wardrobe.

Jackie-0 don't overcook the turkey steaks else they wil be dry, other than that just like any other steak.

tru - glad you are feeling a little better today, think our convoy would fit in that, provided there was space to park and no one park stupidly IYKWIM

Mollie - ((hugs)) don't know what to suggest, think mine must have got through his silly stage at uni where I could not witness it. We did have one silly episode though, he came home around 3ish as arranged, had a drink, but not totally oot. Opening the outer door, DH has forgotten to take the key out of the inner door, so he couldn't get in. Curled up in the porch, using one or two coats from the cloak cupboard to help keep him warm, but around 4ish, rang the bell to wake us to let him in. We could only laugh as it was our fault not his, and he was very apologetic. Sent him off to bed to keep warm, and sleep it off. We started him off drinking the occasion one with us, so that he didn't have to do it behind our backs, and he seemed to learn.

DS is mid-flight on his way to Turkey with his GF for a fortnights holiday. First time he has been on a package tour without us, they have been over to the house many times without us, but feels its his first real holiday without us and he is 25 :rotfl:

Just finished my coffee so will go and start again.

((hugs)) to those MIA and not 100%

Jackie-G 12th is Silk, so maybe buy yourself a nice nighie or undies, sure DH will think it is a pressie for him when he gets home. ;):D

    hiya everyone,
Happy Anniversary the 'mr and mrs Jackie' xx
Been to town got few food bits in netto, cool trader and poundland. Still trying to sort food budget, did a week shop on tesco online and it came at £70 with delivery so have decided to add another week groceries to see if that stops us going to the shops daily! Have to curb the food budget as £300 is too much and Im desperate to start saving.

Have hhovered all downstairs and cleaned the bathroom. No washing as its going to bounce down, probably the minute I step out for the school run!

    Take care xx

Having a pleasant morning hanging around with the kids. DS has perked up and no more being sick so hopefully that's the last of it. He's kept down his dry bread and crackers so fingers crossed he can keep his dinner down tonight.

Have made some cinammon biscuits. Its one of these where you have to chill the dough. They smell lovely (just waiting for them to cool ;)) but I do find it all a bit of a faff having to chill stuff. I am more of a chuck it all on and beat it to death with the mixer kind of a girl :o
Just perusing a chocolate cook book for something nice to tempt my tastebuds (as if I need any help there LOL!).

Had a catalogue from The Book People - Ministry of Food cookbook is in there. Is it worth my while? I bought the Paupers Cook Book and I confess I never use it :o - not my sort of thing. Just wondered whether I'd be wasting my money on Ministry of Food (sorry every time I read/type that I see Ministry of Sound :rotfl:)

Bitsy - I was at the MoF exhibition at the Imperial War Museum the other day and had a quick look at the book. It looked v interesting, but I didn't buy it as (a) it was so expensive, and (b) I probably already have a lot of the info in other books. But I saw it it the Book People catalogue today as well, and am v tempted to buy it at that price, and maybe the Hairy Bikers' Mums Know Best book and one about curries that was in the last catalogue....that would probably make it up to the £25 needed for free postage :p

((((HUGS)))) to everyone (and welcome back Purple Princess!)

Not got much to say today, really bad TOTM, and am having to have BP checked regularly as it's currently too high for me to have a couple of operations I need :( Oh well, a new day tomorrow :)

BB- at dog getting lost,I'd be manic,so really glad he/she got back.Well done on the 1lb.

    Hi folks,

Done my big shop this morning,DH & DS2 picked me up as they finished work at dinner.Realised I couldnt find my purse as we were putting the bags in the van,so DS helped me look through the shopping-no,not there- ran back to the checkout and asked the girl-no,not seen it-,then I saw a bag on the floor that i hadnt picked up  & my purse was lying on the top,so I count myself very lucky :o.That'll teach me to try and manage with a small trolley!

DH wants to go to the pub to watch the match. It would have been good as they've redone their beer garden spec for the world cup,& put up a large screen, but the weather has really gone off, very grey and dull, think I'll see how it is nearer kick off.

They have been working on the farm where he stores some stuff, the drains needed replacing, not the pleasantest of jobs, but have come home with half a dozen newly laid eggs, and a big bag of hg salad leaves off the farmer :T

Right I'm off,I want to order some fabric online for my next quilt.I have quite a bit,but have seen some I really like and have been eyeing up for a few days.Hope everyone is as well as they can be.x

Thanks for the tip Donny. Coincidentally I bought myself a silk top today, a camisole type one, so I suppose that can be "our" pressie ;). Got my haircut, and DS2's as I don't think I'd manage that. Mine is so long, and my back so sore that the lovely girl cut it with us both standing up, and charged me £13 for a dry cut which I am very happy about, she says she has never seen so much hair.:o I bought some other summer tops in the Evans sale, but only a few as I plan on being two sizes smaller by the end of the summer and don't want to waste the money. :D I am taking the boys and the dog to the seaside tomorrow, I fancy a wee trudge along the sand, so I'm off to do some pack up treats for us all. May not get a chance to pop in, in the morning, as I want to get an early start. Hope you are all OK. Hugs especially to Tru and Ivyleaf, and Lowesy, if you are lurking, I have been thinking of you a lot, and hope you and OH are doing OK. XXX

Three loads of washing done & dried, will consider some ironing later, but off now to see GNeice & GNephew. Clothes sorted and put away where not being packed. Also want a couple of sizes off Jackie-G but would settle for one for now. Have a lovely day tomorrow.

    Evening all

Phew a busy day at work! We did a fundraising bag pack in a local supermarket and my lovely work kids raised just over £400 in 3 hours :j:j. They were fab.

However we had some bad news about one of them who missed today as he was in court. The poor lad has been sentanced to 18months for involvement in a crime a few months ago :( He is a lovely lad, who knew he did wrong and was turning his life around by being on our course. I'm gutted for him, but he needs to learn his lesson. he is 23, and had been inside once before. He should cope okay (as well as you can).

On a brighter note, HQ have approved me attending the teaching course :j:j

OS wise, I had jacket spud with HM chilli from the freezer for tea, and that's about it. I'm off out for a drink tonight with friends. I 'm pleased cos for once we are going to my local not anyone else's!!! So I can have a few drinks :D .

    Have a good evening all
