sky sports news to be removed from freeview

here is a report that sky are going to pull sky sports news of freeview, and replace it with sky 3+1:eek:, apparantly it is a move that is designed to generate more subscriptions, i wonder how much the ofcom ruling forcing them to give sky sports to virgin/bt vision at a slighly cheaper price actually has played in this decision:mad:

    We are not happy in our house either. Sky Sports News is probably the most watched freeview channel in our house.

    On the positive side, Al-Jazeera has now been added to Freeview. Don't know what the are like for the football scores though :-)

    I was just planning on cancelling the Sports channels, I'm starting to hate Sky now.

    no loss really. sky news (ch.82 on chavview..) seems to fill screen with every sport result you will (n)ever need anyway...
    Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
