The second night of the holiday I became ill. I did not call a doctor.I have evidence from the air stewards that I was very ill and they kept me at the back of the plane and were going to divert the plane.
It has now been confirmed from the hospital and my doctor that this was due to food poisoning on my all inclusive holiday.
Now that I have medical evidence of this and I am due to go away again on the 30th June what are my rights as previously stated we did not buy at the time insurance for the 30th june and im still on medication from the food poisoning !!! I have just written a letter to thomsons but was just asking for advice...thanks

A quick bit of googling tells me that the incubation period for the campylobacter bacteria is 1-11 days with a mean of 2-5 days.

Seeing as you became ill on the second night of your holiday it it possible that you picked it up when you were away, but also just as possible that you picked it up beforehand.

I'm a bit confused what 'rights' you're asking about here.

This post (as opposed to the one you started which asked about cancellation because of medical diagnosis (not the food poisoning apparently) seemed initially to be asking about making a claim for a holiday that you've already had during which you became ill.

From what you've said it seems that you're not trying to get reimbursed for any medical costs you incurred - because you didn't see a doctor.

So you must be after some form of compensation from Thomson.
What did your letter to them say?

    I'll ask again:
Did you inform the rep that you were ill?

As Pigget says, it's going to be hard for you to prove that you picked up this food poisoning on your holiday.

As far as I am aware, if you are unable to travel on 30th June because your doctor days you shouldn't AND you don't have insurance, you're stuffed.
You'll lose whatever percentage of the total cost detailed in the holiday company's T&Cs - which you need to read.

It has been confirmed I picked it up on holiday AND WAS SEVERELY ILL ON THE FLIGHT HOME! This was noted by the thomson stewards as they looked after me at the back of the plane.I have just sent a letter and medical evidence to Thomson and I am awaiting their reply.

FWIW, I don't think you have a cat in hell's chance of getting anything from Thomson as you say you became ill on the 2nd day of your holiday and I doubt you stand any chance of getting your money back on your next planned holiday.

As you don't seem to be answering any of the questions I've asked or points that I've raised, I think I'll leave you to it.

I'm not sure it was a physical illness you had, it seems to be more of a mental issue to me. Have you tried consulting a pshyciatrist to help you with your trolling ? I can imagine that it can be quite mentally exhausting having to dream up stories because you havn't got a life.

If you were very ill you would have had no choice but to consult a doctor.

They were going to divert the plane, but they did not?
    Gone ... or have I?

if it was food poisioning picked up at the AI resort, I would have thought many others staying at the resort the same time would also have been suffering?
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

You woud have to prove that the infection was caught at the hotel and this would require you to show that other guests were also ill at the same time, othrwise it would appear very likely that you caught the infection before you left the UK, seeing as you were ill on the 2nd day of your holiday.

What and where did you eat and drink in the 72 hours before you left the UK? Why do you consider the infection wasn't caught there? Did you eat anywhere that chicken was being served?

You could have caught the poisoning by touching seagull poo, for a start.

Wow, your hospital and doctor have incredible psychic powers. Can you get me next Friday's Euromillions numbers next time you speak to to them???
