But surely if it's a specialist changing room then can make it lingerie only and stop men from going in to try on shirts and trousers?

Sorry to say, jamespir, but I think you're a fool not to have stood your ground and insisted on them giving you the key. That is outright sex discrimination, what kind of response is "you can't change your child because you're a man"? Disgusted. You really should have pushed this with their managers - what establishments were you in?

They don't make front fastening over the shoulder boulder holders in my size either!

I'm more comfortable being half-naked with men than women, as women can be more catty....and I think men are less likely to make !!!!!y comments

In the Southend branch a couple of weeks ago, there was a long queue at the ladies' changing rooms so I asked if I could use the mens. I was told no, so I found a quiet space behind the wooly jumpers and tried the top on there instead.

I probably wouldn't have tried on a bra on the shop floor though..

My OH was asked to leave the changing room in M&S a few months back as he was told it was 'Ladies changing room only' Shame cos that bra would have really suited his moobs!
