Did the seller think postage would not cost anything because it was listed as free on Ebay? That would be a wonderful system!

It may be ONLY 60p, but would the free postage give them a higher positioning in the search?

I would refuse to pay the extra 60p out of principal! It's very cheeky!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I would very much like to pay the seller the £12 but at the moment I can't find any way of doing it! I don't appear to be able to edit the invoice. I'm going to check out the EBay boards and then email the seller to see if she will reconsider.

Log into paypal, click the send money tab at the top, then click pay for ebay items, then a list will pop up of recently won items that need paying, click the one you an to pay and then alter the p&p to zero. That's how I had to pay for something yesterday.

Perhaps the seller expected the auction to go higher, therefore covering his postage fees. But thats the risk we take as auction sellers!

I think we all know that p&p costs on ebay are of dubious estimates, as my other half is a seller and she often under estimates the postage costs which she has to absorb. just think you shouldnt pay the extra or ask to cancel the transaction.

I'm can't believe that someone would do that. If u offer free postage that is what u must give - I have on occasions under quoted postage my fault so my loss, it is the sellers responsibility to ensure their listing is correct. It might only be 60p but when u placed ur bid u had a deal they wouldn't sell to u if u changed ur mind and offered then 60p less,

I think it's moved on a bit. OP has managed to pay the original amount already and I assume we are waiting to see what the sellers next move is.
