Or families with 8 kids who insist on being housed in the most expensive areas of the country whilst living on benefits.

I would claim whatever was available, I just don't agree that it should be available if there is no need, e.g. pensioners living on the Costa-Del-Sol entitled to winter fuel allowance icon7.gif

So it isnt your fault for taking it, it's there fault for giving it?

    Hello????

My mother would give me her last penny, by your criteria I'd be quite right to take it

Not sure that analogy is very helpful. I also use the full ISA allowance do you also class that as taking from the state? On the other side of the coin I do pay all the taxes that the govt ask me to pay e.g. road fund licence.

We have gotten it all ar se to elbow in this country. I dont know or care where it all went wrong.

People constantly go on about those who never work while claiming every centine they are due themselves.

The underclass are traditionally heavy industry or factory workers. Those jobs are gone and what is left to replace them?

If we are not extremely careful what we are doing, we are going to push minimum wage workers the same way and we can't afford it.

We are broke, morally and financially bankrupt.

We won't be fixed by further burdening the PN's of this world.

We have to protect the less well off amongst us. It is what decent people do.

And hey ho we will have to sacrifice the second holiday in France to do it.

    Sh it happens
maybe if they could pay less tax they wouldn't need benefits.

Unions are by their very nature a vested interest. In fact their sole raison d'etre is to get more for their members. They can never say that they have achieved everything reasonably possible for their members - otherwise they would cease to exist.

So like any cancer, they simply cannot care about the host. Even if it is wounded and about to expire, they have to increase their vitriol and incite industrial action.

You pay for road fund licence, I take it you mean road tax.

    Hey you have a car.

You drive on the roads in your car and you pay towards the upkeep of those same roads. You use a service and you pay for it.

You deserve a round of applause because?

By ISA I take it you mean what you can earn before you pay tax. I am woefully ignorant about stuff.

    What else do you claim?

Just as a matter of interest...........

Primarily because RFL isn't a hypothecated tax and the cost of maintaining our roads (in so far as anyone bothers) is vastly more than covered by the money filched from the motoring public.
