That was before the anoucement of QE......

Without QE it would be (in my opinion of a little but not a lot knowledge) it would have exceeded 3m by far.
we have 500,000 less people unemployed - that's good news :)

[STRIKE]doire[/STRIKE] some may not see it that way but that is good news

A further step towards the 3M+ figure, that all those sheeponomists said, earlier this year, that it would not reach. It will IMHO.

The true figure is well over 3M if dont fiddle with the numbers.

When the fiddled with numbers show 3M unemployed, dread to think what the tru numbers are!

Lower pay & reduced hours would add hundreds of thousands on to the effect also.

Real unemployment is about 10 million when you factor in all those people not working, not getting benefits.

Can someone tell me how this government is going to get all these people back to work? Let alone try to get those on invalidity benefit back into work. I don't think the workshy need to worry to much!

    Simple. Cut benefits.

They'll then find jobs or work for themselves.

Nope. Some are stay at home mums who don't/can't claim benefits (partner earning too much etc), those that cannot work but can't claim benefits because they've got too much in savings etc.
