So far 1 (nPower) user in 900 is pretty bad going, considering they claimed they'd blagged 900 just for us and we didn't need to be nPower customers. I'd like to see an official winners list published of all 900 MoneySavers and their corresponding power supplier as proof.
Me too!:cool::smileyheaMagenta0 -

I wouldn't. If people want to post on the thread to let us know they've been successful that's great, but to have their details published willy nilly seems a bit of an invasion of privacy.Time flies like an arrow.

I think many people on here are "lurkers", not even members. They take the freebie links and don't say thankyou. It happens very often- someone posts an excellent freebie, it has been viewed 400 odd times and you go to look, find only 3 people have said "thankyou" and on clicking the link, find there are no more left.
Now either people are becoming really ungrateful and inconsiderate (how do you know if the offer went down well if no one says thankyou- its one of the reasons I rarely post anything, no one seems to want the link/code/info as no one clicks on 'thanks' so I make my own assumptions given the evidence) or we have millions of other viewers who don't join, so cannot post, comment, say thankyou yet can click and take up the offers supplied.
This could explain why no one/few people post if they win.0 -

It's an invasion of privacy because it wasn't stated beforehand that their name or any details would appear to the public. Some people are funny about things like that so you just have to accept that it can't be done.
I agree though, it would be nice to see a list and see how many MSE users were on it.0 -
Invasion of privacy?! I'm sorry but you've got totally the wrong end of the stick, it's no different to any other MSE giveaway. They'd just list the forum user names, what invasion is there in that?
They wouldn't be listing the forum user names (unless you expect MSE to open up their records for npower to trawl through, which would be even worse!), but people's actual names. You also wanted the winners' utility companies listed alongside their names.
I can't remember whether the entry form asked for our current utility companies, but the terms and conditions certainly didn't say they would be publishing our details anywhere. If you're going to publish people's private details you have to warn them beforehand so they can choose to opt out of the competition or offer.Time flies like an arrow.

Forget even having a winners list so even the remotest privacy issues are covered and the privacy paranoid won't brown their trousers, I'd like the MSE staff to at least confirm 900 MSE users actually won exactly as promised. I don't think that's too much to ask just for the sake of clarity and fairness.0
