I Would point out that is the same with all the networks, they dont call it the 'retention's team' for fun, seriously tho, an upgrade to sim only is only suitable for someone who does not wish to commit to a new contract and is happy to keep the handset, as the contract is only 30 days in length this can only be set up in the last 30 days of the contract, anyone who says otherwise is either lying, or the network have made a mistake and they got away with it

3 must have made a mistake when they let my partner change to a sim only with 110 days left of her contract, her contract was for £36 per month, she upgraded to a sim only and it was only £15 per month, oh well at least one of us managed it, looks like i will just have to wait until i have 39 days lef on contract, cheers for replies

yes 3 will have made a mistake with your wife, look at just in basic terms, you are 15 months into a 18 month contract you 'upgrade' to a sim only deal which only has a 30 day notice period, you then hand in you 30 days notice thereby keeping to your 'upgraded' contract and so actually get out of contract 2 months early
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

Just to comment, recently when I was in the 3 shop organising my upgrade the other sales person in the shop was saying to someone that as of that day they are no longer going to offer early upgrades.

I dont have any proof that i could change with 3 months remaining of contract, i do know anyone who has had a contract with 3 have upgraded with 110 days remaining, as i said my partner upgraded to sim only with 110 days remaining and was saving over £20 per month, when i asked about it i was told i could then they called back and said i can't, i just hink they were be awkward because i said i would not be renewing my contract at its end, cheers

what exactly did you expect them to do, once you told them you was going to another network after the 110 days:eek:
Take every day as it comes!!

When hey move me to sim only with 110 days left on my contract I had a letter come through that said I was now tied in for the 110 days plus the extra 30 days for the sim only

Only when you're in the upgrade window, usually 3 months before the end of the minimum term.

But you'll get better offers when your out of minimum term.
