Free 'no lose' £20 World Cup bet

Of course there is something in it for them. A percentage of people that sign up to this will continue betting after the promo, or will bet their winnings from the freebet. Those people are paying for the rest of our freebets. Also this promo will produce a large injection of contact details into their marketing campaign which is somewhat valueable. You're more than likely going to receive junk mail, I have already received about 5 text messages but nothing in the post yet.
So if you have no self control or are not going to be able to withdraw the refund or winnings or have had a gambling related addiction in the past then then you shouldn't take part.
Well said. It is an easy way for them to get a very low Cost-Per-Acquisition (£20, plus or minus the average payout, which, if most people are maximising their gain and betting on high odds, will be a princely £0)
So yeah, it's all legit, and if you are ungreedy, you will probably make money from it, and they will get an influx of new, paying customers - which are normally extremely expensive (ours work out at £300 each - ouch).0 -
I've just put £20 on Spain to miss a penalty.0

no definitely not. I just went to take a dump and left my pc to it. When I came back (feeling lighter lol) it took 2 X £20 deposits.0 -

You should be able to simply withdraw the extra £20 when you come to withdraw the refund (if bet loses) or winnings. Unless there is something in the general 888 T&C's about it.0 -

Agree with the low Cost-Per-Acquisition. However, high odds win too...
The problem I see for 888Sport is that MSE'ers are...money savers who have been given warnings about not letting the offer tempt them into gambling...
These offers are to tempt those that want to gamble into becoming their customers. I don't think that 888Sport would welcome the one off mug punter from MSE.0 -
put the £20 on it being 0-0 at half time in Spain v Switz, potential returns £50.0

Ive bet on spain scoring 2-3 goals bit of a wimpy bet but I wanted a safer return £380
