Hey Lynz!
Sorry to hear you've been a bit down... it does seem to be something about this time of year doesn't it.
I'm glad that everyone here's been able to cheer you up a bit - you really do help so many dfws and have made great progress with your debts. Its hard to keep up the speed of progress sometimes but you're not failing... any payments are progress!!

Hey Lynz
Keep your chin up girl! Some days are awful and nothing seems to shift the doom and gloom. You are doing brilliantly under the circumstances :T

Lynz, I'm not paying off debt like yours but I am trying to live without any income (not counting quidco) whilst looking for a job. I know exactly what you mean, today i do feel like all I wanna do is go back to bed! The list of things I should be doing is getting longer and longer - all connected in some way to promoting myself and hopefully getting work - but I just can't get motivated.
I don't know how I get on with it really, perhaps I don't  , but things do change and they do get better, which is a glib thing to say when you feel awful and it doesn't feel like it, I know.
The odd day off without doing anything 'productive' can be quite useful really, a chance to rest and chill out as long as you don't make yourself feel too guilty.
Sorry, not terribly helpful of me, if you find the answer let me know!!Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Except for death and paying taxes, everything in life is only for now... Sorry to hear you're feeling low. It's horrible when it gets like that and you feel like you're wading through treacle.
All I can suggest is for you to read your own signature. You've got the courage and wisdom more than sorted, so allow yourself a little serenity. You ARE going in the right direction but sometimes there's nothing you can do than ride along at the pace life dictates and build up your energy for when you can start changing things again.
And I LOVE wendym's suggestion of convincing yourself some hideous people are coming around and then pretending you get that phone call... what a fab idea! It's definitely a cr*ppy time of year. Like CAFCgirl says, the only thing for it is to dream of what you'll do when you're DF.

I think it must be the time of year. Even me, who can see a silver lining to global thermonuclear war (better car-parking, less congestion, pretty sunsets) is feeling just that little bit less than perky.
I think the problem with it is that you (and others) are pro-active go-getting people, who do things to make the problems go away. The unfortunate fact with debt is there are only a limited number of things you can actually do, before it becomes all about time. After that you are stuck with waiting for the money to come in, which then goes out and gives a teensy little boost as the "owed" figure comes down. Then it's back to waiting. Pro-active people tend not to "do" waiting.
I think that every so often, you should take your focus off the road ahead, off the date in the future when the figures go from minus to plus, and stop and look back at how far you've come.
Then you should look around. If there is nothing more you can do but wait, then don't focus so intensely on the problem. If you have to put in your diary that you can only look at your bank account every-other day, or every third day - then do that.
Yes it's annoying, but if everyone had oodles of patience then it wouldn't be a virtue..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

As ever some very wise words there.
thanks
I dont think Ill ever change. I have always wanted everything NOW NOW NOW ( hence the debt!). I wish I could pick up the proverbial toys lobbed out of the pram and sell them :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? ZTD, you do talk sense!
I'm quite a proactive person I think - I hate the feeling that things aren't getting anywhere - but then sometimes I just can't get up the motivation to do anything, for fear of failure really go figure! :rolleyes:Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs.
