I am flailing, I am flailing....

Right back some time ago when I found DFW I was so full of energy and motivation was at full tilt. I just couldnt stop moneysaving.

Now I just feel like, blueeerrrrgghhhh

I have no motivation.

It doesnt help that Im unwell and generally feel quite weak, Im desperate to get back to work, bt alas this doesnt seem to be something thats going to happen.

I have very little to sell now, and Im just, well, flailing. At one point i was overpaying like mad, now I just cant find the money to do it, but think, well im not looking hard enough etc.

SOMEBODY HELP ME!

    RIGHT!

    Miss Power!
I call an immediate haul to thinking you're not doing enough.
    That you're not selling enough
That you're not on the wagon!

    YOU ARE:

An absolute inspiration to hundreds if not THOUSANDS of people on this website!
I've read all of your posts with borderline stalker enthusiasm!

Top of the list should be looking after you!

If you dont feel well, dont push yourself to go back to work, it'll only come back on you 10 fold!
Is there something specific or is it flu type thing?
I say take a little r and r time, even if it is just an hour or so, have a nap, take a long bath, dose yourself up with whatever might be applicable!

Then I suggest you get out our recent statements from everything, like loans credit card, overdraft etc and I say just look at what you've done!
The way in which you've achieved this is phenomenal! You'll realise just how far all the hardwork has gone, and how much closer you have brought yourself to DF freedom!

Am I right in thinking your total outstanding debt is now £5106?

the final straw last week was that my mobile broke ( completely) & I had to use what was left in my paypal account to buy another ( im on 3 so my sim wouldnt work with an old phone) and I was gutted about that

Just seems im taking one forward & 2 back

Yesterday I clumsily dropped a loo roll down the loo as I was opening the packet and I just was like :wall:

I second everything that's been said. You are one of the main reasons I've got my head together regarding money and you need to cut yourself a bit of slack. You're a remarkable person and, I for one, am sending lots of hugs and positive vibes to you. Take great care of yourself xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Lynz!!!

Not you, please???? OK, you have plateau-ed a bit, but your external circumstances have limited your options. You are still paying off, not over-paying but still paying.

Every month you are still heading closer to being DF. Along the way, you are also providing huge amounts of support, advice and friendship to other DFWs. Do you think regulars don't notice how often you jump in and welcome people, offer support and help, plus call in other DFWs to help?

My mum's old line says it all for me... 'This too shall pass'. Once you are feeling better, and earning more, you will be back - large as life and twice as full of it!

Hugs to you darling, I hope you feel a bit perkier soon. Remember that Aug 30 is the most depressing day of the year after 18 Jan (I read it in the paper) Wait and see what Sept brings.

    xx

    I second that :)
  • I have to second what CAFCGirl says - you are an inspiration and I too read all your posts and marvel at your wise words and outlook.

When your not feeling 100%, things do appear to go pear shaped, but that is just your perception and the way your feeling. Have a day to yourself where you don't do anything connected with money or becoming Debt Free. A day to relax and watch DVD's or read a book or whatever your interest is will re-charge your batteries.

I've had to take today off sick (got a painful cyst on my leg) but although I'm in pain, I'm kind of enjoying sitting on the sofa with my blanket round me and coffee watching daytime TV :) It's taken me out of my routine and hopefully it will do me good. Well, that is until my doctors appt. this afternoon......I hope she'll be gentle with me :D

You've done so well Lynz but your entitled to take a day off and evaluate how far you've come.

    Take care

Why do some vision2learn courses. They are free and you only need to commit a few hours a week. But if you have time you can complete them even quicker.

It does depend if you have any colleges near you that have a tutor. But might worth a try.
