Hi Lynz,
I know you say your'e not working, a unwell at the mo. But do you get out shopping etc.....?
Reason i ask is because whenever i run out of things to sell on ebay, i arm myself with £10 or £20 and trawl around the charity shops for things to sell on ebay (i know stricylt your not supposed to do this, but once in a while doesn't hurt!)
My best buy was one of those silk WOLSEY paisley scarves (think mods)..for £1.50, sold within 5 days for £18.75 !!!.............there have been times that for my £20, i have made about £90. Look out for all the names, such as OASIS, MORGAN, DIESEL etc..
Just a thought, keep your chip un.
Hugs

thanks for that Pot. I think someone in my local charity shop has decided to wack the prices up on designer labels I saw a pair of pink designer ( cant remeber the name now) scuffed as hell the other day for £25.... erm... i dont think so!! Ill try and get out a bit more I think, but its not easy :wall::beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
There's something Not Right about the end of August, and it takes me by surprise every year. Who said it was allowed to start getting dark early?
And I think it's the time of year when inanimate objects gang up on us.
Yesterday I had a meal planned, but was apparently supposed to know telepathically that H (missing D is entirely deliberate) would be out. His parting gift was a large pile of green beans, so despite my joints being vile (another time of year thing) I thought I would take out my temper on a large pot of soup. Started with all the other ingredients, then sat down with the bowl of beans. The knife bounced off them; they were so old and leathery that they were inedible. Cut my finger, dropped the bowl, broke a favourite vase, then spilled milk into gaps between quarry tiles while making a cup of tea.
I vote we declare these few days the Feast of the Spite of the Inanimate Object, and decide we're all going to have a FAB September.
And a hug to you Lynz. Bodies that hurt seems to hurt more around now; I have no idea why. And oomph just disappears too.
When I'm in on my own and getting nowhere, I imagine that I have to spend a couple of hours with all the most boring people I know, then I get an imaginary phone call to say they're not coming. Lazy solitude suddenly becomes more attractive!

Big Hugs Lynz. I went through feeling useless and out of control last week. I did let things slide but I am starting to come out the other side thanks to a few positive posters on here. I think it does get a bit harder after a while, because when you start on this debt busting journey, you get motivated that you have knocked down your SOA by X amount, you've changed you debt to O% interest, and you have sold all your worldly possesions on e-bay. Thats exciting. Once you've done it though, you've done it! The excitement passes and its just everyday slog. Its okay to feel downheartened, but I hope all these posts have lifted your spirits a bit. Especially the ones saying how great you are. Everyone appreciates the fantastic input you put into this board, and hope things turn around for you again soon.0

if you want something to do with your hours today why not make a top 10 list.
My inner therapist believes that this allows the mind to engage with the whimsical and fanciful, thus relaxing our mind, and slowing your thought process.
It is not allowed to include anything monetary.
So becoming DF is not allowed................. and a massive shopping spree isnt!
Its about your innermost desires being realised and allows your mind to flow freely!
This is my list, for example
-Finish decorating bedroom
-Have a charcoal line drawing done of myself, naked, and artistically!i.e of my back so noone can see my face!
-Go on a trip to Brighton to see old friend who I havent seen in over a year
-Book a holiday (foreign!)
-Paint/draw a picture myself (should this then sell for millions thats allowed because i didnt create it for monetary purposes, thats just secondary)
- Gain a qualification in something!
- Get another tattoo
So some of them are fanciful.......... some of them have some realism to them but because I get caught up in the everyday, they're not on my everyday to do list.
Now I had great fun thinking up all kinds of rubbish I could do! I know I probably wont get around to very much of it but its nice to lie back and think of another life.................
i.e The life you get once you're DF!
Or if not I suggest making the supposedly delicious weetabix cake from OS, mine is currently cooking. I'm a little scared.........Wealth is not measured by currency0
