Quentin, How can 2 people get no claims discount on a single policy, we would all love to know, (and do it)???:naughty::naughty:

They cannot. (Apart from with those policies where they do give NCD to named drivers to use on their own policies bought with the same insurer)

No-one has suggested that, have they?

So from that we have a situation where the op gets to retain his NCB whilst his spouse doesnt gain anymore due to not being continuous.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Waste of time justifying to you.

You already been told you are wrong on your fraudulent/illegal scaremongering, and without remorse have moved on to more nonsense.

You try and tell us why you think the main driver gets the NCD!

I've only been told by you, should I accept that, your later post states 2 drivers can't get the NCB, only one. Do you get an option as to who gets the NCB, clue, no, so that blows your last point

    Carry on please.

I am not scaremongering, I am telling the op that if he chooses an undercover way of retaining his NCB when he is not entitled to then someone will suffer, his other half, if the tactics suggested by an earlier poster are adopted.

No, the situation is Mrs has policy on her own car. Mr has NCD that is not in use.

Instead of Mrs renewing, Mr insures the car for 1 year, then revert it back too Mrs.

Both sets of NCD are never more than 1 year old.

When the time is right to return to having 2 cars again...... 2nd NCD is still valid.

    What's tricky in understanding that?

Don't say it can't be done, because it can and legally.....

We don't know Mrs op has full NCB. If she doesn't she will not gain anymore, which is kinda where I came in.The balance could outweigh the (Mr)op's gain?)

I think the "nonsense" (not my words) is that post #15 said the main use gets NCD.
    I think it's the policyholder.

In general (excluding policies that double up) the policyholder gets the NCD and this does not have to be the main driver (with many insurers).
The main driver does of course have to be declared correctly (unless you're one of those exact 50/50 cases).

    Am I right people?

You need to look at this long term.
Loss of her NCB completely could be worth paying an extra premium for.

You claim you aren't trolling here, yet your points have caused unnecessary argument, you have never accepted you have raised nonsensical, scaremongering posts, and just seem to move on from each piece of nonsense to just more objections just to prolong your presence!
