consumer rights for purchase of tv

Can anyone help?..bought 50 inch tv approx 14 days ago but it has developed a humming noise which is pretty off putting when watching anything. What are my rights regarding this. I want to return it and request another make/brand..because I have a feeling its a general problem and dont want to go down the route of it going…

Personally I wouldn't exchange it, I would get a refund then buy another one on a new receipt.

Not so simple if the humming isn't actually a fault. Like I said eariler it could well be the normal hum associated with the backlight of the TV (I'm assuming its an LCD).
