i find it very very sad that adults have to have childrens rules applied to them and that a genuine offer of help is seen as something to be suspicious of
i understand why it has to happen and i despise the few who make these rules necessary0 -
just wanted to point out that my rant above was not at the rules, the rule makers or the board guides - just at the people who cause the problems in the first place
apologies for accidentally breaking any rules in my previous posts0 -
Apologies from me too. I inadvertently broke the rule first!!!
As you say brokenwings it is sad "that a genuine offer of help is seen as something to be suspicious of"
I do hope that this lovely positive thread doesn't have to end on a negative note.
I hope that the BF has a WONDERFUL birthday!!!!0 -
Hi
Just a quick comment here. We realise that in some cases our rules seem unfair given the nature of the swap/exchange, however we must apply this policy in all areas to ensure that we are being fair and to prevent potential problems.
We realise that community on this board is one of it's most prominent features, and we also hope you realise why we have to have these rules in place.
Lastly, thanks to the above posters for apologising and clarifying things - those gestures really do help this site.

Just want to point out that the rule was put in place in anticipation of any problem rather than the fact that people have caused any problems
For the OP, not sure where you live but I picked up some pins/badges to take with me to America with a Scotland flag intertwinned with an American flag!0 -
I live in england
most unfortunate I know
He's gonna be 23, and even though I, as a 22 yr old, would appreciate pin badges, he's a label and cost orientated kinda person.
But I love him irrespective of that! I will bring him round to the MSE ways yet!
Also got today some BOGOF disposable cameras to add to it, only £2.99. I thought that was pretty good!
Well most unfortunate that my thread missed out on the evening shift of OS'ers, but Im sure we can all smile about it now
Lets just feel the love people!
Will attempt charity shop run in my lunch hour tomorrow for battered old suitcase!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

I know this is really late, but Miracle Whip is more like a combination of mayonaise and salad cream - it's thick like mayo, but the colour and taste are just like what you get if you mix the two half and half.
It's no more full of rubbish than salad cream or Hellman's.0
