Note: £10 paid off rent arrears yesterday (late), £5 to sister today, elec debt standing at £101.95, gas debt still not bloody going out.

Right, having now done that, it's time to make a couple of admissions... :(

But I just wanted a nice new total before I did, at it was a lovely total at 17.16% cleared, for the whole ten minutes it lasted it was wonderful...

The water arrears has risen to £574.35
There's been a benefit overpayment, that means a fresh debt of £182
I took on a new debt to the RAC, which I haven't included because I didn't want to, it comes to £71.52 of which I have paid £5.96 (leaving £65.56)

Oh and Aviva's been passed to bloody Westcot :(

Right so, my original debt total has now got to go up. :( Ah well, avoiding it wont make it not be there... here goes...

    New total debt is £6358.32
    New amount paid is £1033.38
    New amount outstanding £5324.94
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.

Just made it to the Spar in time to pay the rent arrears at the eleventh hour (ten minutes before the Spar shut down). So rent arrears, sister and electric are to go down, benefit arrears are to go up. That makes it time for some totals then.

Also as well as it being totals time, I've spoken to the DWP, there will be a deduction from my benefits of £9.90 a week, starting on the next payment. So £19.80 then, because I am paid fortnightly. I've moved it up a group accordingly.

Wow! I've not been in your topic before now - I get so caught up in ALL the other diaries but... wow Hannah! You're doing SO SO well, I'm really impressed.

You're so right about actually putting it down in black (and sometimes blue and red in your case!) and white so you can't hide from where you are, SUCH a good idea.

Have subscribed so now you have another MSE-er watching you so if you feel one of those, "I can't be bothered today.." moments coming on.... I'M WATCHING!!!

  • Hi Hannah. Just read your diary. Good luck with it all. Just as a side issue....and probably out of line....but I'm not sure what job you do Hannah but you say its quite a hard physical job and you are on sick. Reading your posts to others I think you are wasted. You seem very sharp. (sorry to comment but Im a lecturer and I hate to see unmaximised potential:))

Sessie, Isy and KP you are all far too kind!

Just a very quick note, electric meter reading £91.90 debt remaining. That's a little more off anyway.

I may not have to keep this up forever, I am considering a DRO. Feel a bit guilty saying that, but honestly I am tired of scraping up quids here and there. Here's the link to a thread I've started on the bankruptcy board, just going off there to post now.
