If your account is directly with o2 then go to an o2 shop, not CPW, they can add lines by checking your internal score.

CPW seem to be the only retailer who tries to credit check existing customers.

im getting conflicting advice now-so i go direct to o2 themselves (online/shop) they'll just check my internal score?

If you have been reliable with T-mobile and paid on time, would it not be worth giving them another ring as you have a positive history with them now? I am sure I read on another thread some time ago that someone in your position had success in doing this.

    Good luck.

I followed the advice on here applying to 02 I recieved an email bout 5mins ago saying ring this number with my id and proof of address. Now I don't hold a passport or driving license.

Would I stand a chance of getting this £10 sim only if they send this email?

  • I was wondering if anyone can confirm that having a contract mobile phone looks better on your credit rating?

I have a bad credit rating and am on pay as you go (o2) but i'm thinking of doing the 30 day contract with T-mobile as i thought it might improve my credit rating.

Now it seems i won't be able to get a T-mobile sim if they do Credit checks first. I could always stick with o2 as they said above as i have a history with them and try for a 30 day contract with them if they have one. Confused!

Most importantly can anyone confirm my first question?

    Thanks
