Well I'm feeling really grumpy tonight. DH came home in a mood, so we have fallen out  And now my sodding computer keeps disconnecting so I keep losing long posts :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
I am avoiding DH by being on the computer, he is currently sprawled over the floor watching football, I'm tempted just to go to bed with a book
I've done my scratchies (10ps), bingoport and my PADs of 50ps to CC1, CC2 and my new savings account. I now have a grand total of £1.00 emergency savings :rotfl:
I think I may have poisoned us as well, the chicken I cooked tonight just didn't seem right to me, I guess I'll find out later or tomorrow  I'm currently drinking a can of coke in the hope the acid will destroy any nasties.
Think I'm going to give up now, DH is now snoring on the floor :rotfl:Hope your evenings are better!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Well I didn't poison us thankfully
DH is still not speaking to me this morning :wall: oh well, hopefully he will cheer up by the time he gets home from work.
I've done my scratchies, bingoport and PADs for the day as I got up earlier this morning.
Have a good day everyone!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Well me and DH are speaking again thankfully! :T
He's taken a load of stuff to the charity shop so that's a couple of boxes of stuff out of the way.
I've finished a book and put it aside to bootsale, only about 3 million to go
Done my scratchies/bingoport and PADs for the day.
My hoover was really annoying me as it didn't seem to pick up very well, so I went on the dyson website and found they have very clear instructions for troubleshooting. It turns out the brush belt has broken so a new one has been ordered which apparently comes with full instructions for fitting :T I've got a vax that blows rather than sucks so I shall see if I can fix that one too.
One of the animals (dog I think) brought in a dead bird, and kindly left it on the dining room floor :eek: That has now been bagged and put into the food bin."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". That's great about your hoover, jwil. Have to say, I've never been one for fixing things
Changed days now - I'm fixing/reusing/'refurbishing' everything around me! Great feeling!
 to the birdie!0 -
Haven't really been on for a few days, we decided we couldn't be bothered to do a boot sale this weekend so didn't get rid of anything.
Visited my sister and BIL on Saturday for my niece's birthday, and had a nice picnic in the park.
Finished 2 books over the weekend, so they have gone in the boot sale pile, am trying to get through them though it would help if I didn't keep buying them (17 added to the collection this weekend!)
DH is sorting a load of stuff to get rid of, so I shall go and join him soon. Every little bit gone will help!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Got my new belt for the hoover today, so will have a go at fixing that tomorrow.
I have managed to take tomorrow afternoon off to watch the football (I normally HATE football but do watch the world cup) so am planning on doing some sorting while I am watching.
Will be meeting a friend for a drink tomorrow evening, so that should be nice.
We are aiming to do 2 car boot sales over this weekend, so hopefully the weather will hold and I shall try not to buy too many books!
France have been knocked out of the world cup so no chance of any sweepstake winnings there, so I now have all my hopes pinned on Chile
Sold a book on Amazon today, very pleased with that so will have to hunt it out and post it later. Of my 27 items on ebay at the weekend I only sold 7 so was very disappointed with that, but I guess that will teach me for having listings ending on a sunny Sunday afternoon! At least it is another 7 items out of the house.
Going to try not to hang around on here and have a quiet evening with a book. This is technically house clearing as I have to read the books to be able to get rid of them :rotfl:

:rotfl:Love this! Think I'll also do a bit of 'house clearing' tonight!
Good luck with the car boots!0 -
Thanks La Escocesa, what are you reading, anything good? I'm so nosey, whenever I see someone holding a book, I've got to check it out to see what they are reading"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Have been onto Virgin to do my scratchies and have realised that my card is out of date. The only way to update it is to phone them and I don't want to do that in case my account gets suspended (whilst I do play, I only use the scratchie money and don't deposit, so that is against their new t&C that they just brought in). I'm thinking I might just abandon that account and try opening a new one somewhere else. Not sure how this will work, so may have to ask on the scratchie thread. It's not a huge money maker, but every little bit helps!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I've had a good day today, took the afternoon off as TOIL (time off in lieu) so I could watch the match and get some sorting done.
Have sorted through 3 boxes of junk, got a box full to car boot, a bag of rubbish and a bag of recycling. Might go back through the stuff I have kept as there are some bits I am wavering on whether there is any point in keeping or not, but we shall see.
I have a huge stack of magazines that I have not read, so am working my way through these at the moment, which will be a load more out for recycling (they are ones that have been passed on to me to read, I haven't bought them).
Really pleased England got through, :T:T the next match is Sunday afternoon, so we will have to make sure if we do a boot sale it is an early one as no one will be out in the afternoon."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
