After spending a fortune on a range of decent tools for my husband I was pretty disappointed to learn that he had left them outside in an open toolbox. After I poured away the rusty water  I decided that he wasn't having any new tools because A, he's crap at DIY and B, he doesn't look after anything.

Cheap tools are fine for sitting in the kitchen drawer, getting the battery compartment off the kids toys, undoing plugs and fixing hubby's bodged DIY jobs.

    Thank OP :)

Rusty tools are no good to any wife :)

ps ordered a couple for xmas presents.
    Thanks to OP.

Thanks Rizla01, they look OK to me - I usually find the 'freebie' sets (from mags) are the ones which are as soft as butter!
I'm mad!!!! :rotfl::jand celebrating everyday every year!!!

    Dangerous My Ar*e.

What are they going to do . Burst into flames or explode or something?

If you are stupid enough to try to undo a screw that is so tight that it'll bend the tip then you deserve to get hurt.

These are for the everyday job. NOT for heavy motor engineers who would spend out on Snap-on tools or similar.

These are PERFECT to have around the house to be used when necessary.

What a stupid comment to make.
Bet match total as of 04/10 = God Knows + About £1000 Quidco. Time for Mrs Huddsta to have a crack!!!

Lol! I have three screwdriver sets for years that were all free and they are all still fine. One of them was from a cracker and two were free with magazines. All of them are harder than the screws that I use because they are all still fine. I have a new favourite though. It's a screwdriver that holds all of the heads (about 10 double ended ones) in a rotating storage compartment within the handle. There is also a flick switch for screwing in different directions without adjusting your hand. It cost me £2.50 at a market. Brilliant!

If I didn't have all of the cheap options already at my disposal I would be buying this set.

Personally I've always found the "cheap sets" to be pretty good given the price. OK, they won't last forever but to be honest, I end up losing them well before they wear out!!!!

lol, somewhere in my house there must be a MASSIVE pile of "lost" screwdrivers

I'll find it one day, and then I'll sell them all, and then I'll be rich, and then I'll rule the world! :T

I bought this set 6 months ago when they where on offer at this price, i am pleased with them and the quality is fine. I am more likely to lose these then break them. They are great for presents and diy around the home.
