Looks great but probably made from recycled bean tins in China !

Cheap tools dont last and can be dangerous when they break or bend .

    JMHO !

    Dangerous My Ar*e.

What are they going to do . Burst into flames or explode or something?

If you are stupid enough to try to undo a screw that is so tight that it'll bend the tip then you deserve to get hurt.

These are for the everyday job. NOT for heavy motor engineers who would spend out on Snap-on tools or similar.

These are PERFECT to have around the house to be used when necessary.

you get what you pay for when it come to screwdrivers.
much better to pay more for a piece that will last a life time instead of those pictured above which, i guarantee, wont last more than a handful of light jobs.

Crikey.... a heated debate about screwdrivers :D

After spending a fortune on a range of decent tools for my husband I was pretty disappointed to learn that he had left them outside in an open toolbox. After I poured away the rusty water  I decided that he wasn't having any new tools because A, he's crap at DIY and B, he doesn't look after anything.

Cheap tools are fine for sitting in the kitchen drawer, getting the battery compartment off the kids toys, undoing plugs and fixing hubby's bodged DIY jobs.

    Thank OP :)

cheap tools are a false economy, if a screw head is harder than the screwdriver, then u end up with mashed up screw drivers.
the pieces posted above could scarcely be used to change a plug. they simply wont last 5 minutes and would neep replacing every after every other job.
Take it from someone who knows, cheap tools end up costing you more than expensive tools- but if you have money to burn then go for it!

Sorry but i have to agree that cheap screwdrivers/heads are a false economy. Fine if your buying a cheap hammer or tape but screwdriver heads just break if poor quality

I wouldn't be so sure that they are bad, though without using them it's of course impossible to tell. Some of these cheap chinese hand tools are of suprising quality.

I remember when buying cheap chinese tools was a complete waste of time, they might as well have been made of plasticine.

Now many are very good. I think the reason is that in a lot factories much of the "human" element has been taken out of quality control and been replaced by automation. The World and his wife have been pouring money into China and the huge new factories they are throwing up are state of the art.

I was using my Lidls £3.99 plier/sidecutter/wirestripper set earlier and they were perfectly fine, no useability issues whatsoever. Likewise the £4.99 screwdriver set, all very well machined and strength/hardness seems perfect.

Sure there's still lots and lots of rubbish out there but you can't condemm a cheapy without having a look at them.

I mainly use a Stanley mutli-head screwdriver I picked up from B&Q in the sale for about £2 years ago. Top quality and I couldn't be without it.
But buying tools unseen from an unknown manufacturer is unlikely to pay off - save your money and but yourself two decent screwdrivers.
