Hammyman - you obviously know absolutely nothing of depression - it's not a matter of being deressed about life around you - that's circumstances that can be changed. Depression is a real illness, and while fortunate not to have suffered it - I know of people who have and it can be absolutely debilitating. It's not a case of waking up and having a sh*t day......that's just normal life. Before you make judgements on a particular illness, maybe do a little research into it so that you can at least look like you might know what you're talking about.

Do you think employers will be understanding then given even fit educated people are having problems finding work?

Yes. There are a whole raft of DWP bribes on offer to employers to the point of paying £130 of their wages for 6 months.

if you cant lift a fag packet can i ask what you actually do for a living,as for people being at fault for their own depression thats just the opinion of a bigotted fool.

    I buy and sell laptops.

There's other things that are possible too. What instantly comes to mind:
    • Book-keeping
    • Administration
    • Accountancy
    • Customer Service
    • Bank Clerk
    • Call Centre
    • Receptionist

I'm currently going through coming off Amitriptyline after going into depression due to my spinal injury screwing up my life again.

Im currently on prozac because I found out I was autistic & that my breast cancer had come back all within a period of 6 months screwing up my life temporarily.

See not everyone who is depressed is through their own faults.

If you can't lift a fag packet how do you lift the laptops you buy & sell?
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

I think the UK is slowly becoming communist with this new conservative-liberal government. Forcing people into 'any' work is what the communists did and that is happening now in the UK. What next...?

I take it your degrees where not in politics. Im not sure you really know what communism is. I think the last thing David Cameron can be accused of is being a communist :rotfl:
