The same thing for me too and I phoned before lunchtime on the Saturday and posted the voucher the same day. Very disappointing. Feels like a bit of a con to me!

they must have made a huge amount from all these calls or someone did. thankfully decided not to bother with this one.

I have a funny feeling that this voucher promotion was a marketing scam. I bought the paper (x3 for family), registered all 3 vouchers and posted ALL ON THE SAME DAY the promotion was run

It may or may not be a scam but it certainly shows the usual high level of incompetence of Express Newspapers. I too received the same letter and a day later received the same again! (Only applied once!) Both letters were franked 40p and both contained the vouchers for the Daily and Sunday Express.

BEWARE: expect possible hassle with the Sunday voucher -- barcode indicates 'free' = £1.20, but the current price of the paper is £1.30. No doubt if you leave your purchase until next year the paper price will have risen to at least £1.40 or £1.50.

BTW Re 'Your free vouchers complements of the Daily Express' in their letter -- the word they are looking for is 'compliments'. Will they ever get at least one thing right one day???

No - but I've emailed Watchdog with a complaint. What a total SHAMBLES this is. Absolutely typical of the idiots at Express Newspapers to screw up a promotion.:mad::mad:
  • I also applied and despatched straight away. Got the rejection letter yesterday.
