It wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't semi-deliberate. How many people are glued to the TV when adverts come on? I was really, really annoyed when the HD broadcast went to an annoying advert, I'd seen it many times already but I didn't realise it was for Hyundai cars because I tune out in the breaks but I was tuned in to the game. By the time I found the remote the goal had been scored and a reply being shown on normal ITV.

My FIL watches the motor racing and he's really pleased BBC have got it again, he said ITV would often cut to a break and then find he'd missed an overtaking or tyre change etc.


Sky must be laughing in their boots at the Freesat HD after this mess up.

ITV Sports whether HD or not have always been a disaster/joke. Their coverage and weak presentation doesn't even get close to the BBC/SKY. The pundits, well they're just a joke most of the time with Andy Townsend, Gareth Southgate and Jim Beglin. The post match analysis praised the team for a good strong performance last night with just the finishing and the keeper questionable.
Were they watching the same game as me ? Having watched the highlights and post match analysis on BBC later the pundits there gave a much more balanced view of what went wrong and certainley weren't praising anyone as ITV were.

ITV HD is a joke, due to a petty squabble between STV and ITV you can't get ITV HD in Scotland, thats something that wasn't mentioned in the "wtach every world cup game in HD" adverts

Says they were in negotiations with Sky and Freesat so I don't know if they have it.
