the sims serial number invalid

i havejust tried to install a sims game i won on ebay. but it says the serial code is invalid. but it all looks above board.
it was the double deluxe edition, but its only the house party cdrom which the code is invalid. the other disc installed no probs.
anyone got any ideas on how i can get around this.
i have tried to contact the seller but no replies as yet.

seem to remember there's a particular order to load the different Sims' disks

was the code printed on the back of the install document.

all of the disks my kids have got all have individual install documents, even if there is more than one disk in the box, ie like the deluxe set

The serial should be on the booklet.

Make sure you install the games in order also as this does matter.

yes, i installed disc 1 and 2 of the deluxe version, and the serial number was fine for that. next i installed the house party disc (serial number on the back of the leaflet and yes its the house party code). but it just says invalid serial number.
any ideas??

I would contact EA then and give them the serial and see what they say.

if you install them in the wrong order, it should tell you when you install that xxxx pack has been installed before this yyyy pack, you will need to reinstall xxxx pack

hi, i have just contacted EA games and also sent them a piccie of the cdrom as requested. so fingers crossed.
i`ll let you know and thanx for the help...
