At work today, but the kids have voted with their feet, only 5 kids in period 1 out 23!!!
And its just started snowing heavily again. I think there is only about a third of the pupils in today.

It was weigh in this morning for me - wife weighs in later.
I've now lost 14lbs, now need a belt for my work trousers and I've moved 3 notches on my belt on my jeans, still got a long way to go, but I'm going in the right direction, 3lbs more to lose and I'll be overweight rather than obese!!!Est. debt free day April 2016 (ish) Debt at June 2010 £34,247.13

Hi Guys
Just read your diary and would just like to say I think you are doing brilliant, I was in a situation similar to yourselves this time last year (i.e, massive deficit each month and 2 mortgages, neither of which I could pay) One year on and things are better, still a struggle but better!
My debts are a similar level to yours and I also have 3 kiddies and my own business as well as 2 part time jobs.
Stick together and you'll cover twice as much ground....oh, and stay optimitstic!Emergency Savings Fund - £11002015 Mortgage overpayments = £0 -
Hi
Just read through your post as 'twins' title stood out. We have 9 month old twins, but I also have children from previous marriage so know how difficult it all is.
We are at the point where other half is trying to go back to work but with child care costs - it is not cost effective.
Got 2 loans and 2 credit cards and also 1 interest free loan from oh parents, which she pays back every week. Dont know why as the others in my opinion are more important.
I will keep reading so keep postingYear 2019 (1,700/£17000mortgage repayment)Overall mortgage (71,400/165568) (44

We got the kids back last night - yay - They seem to have grown so much while they have been away!!! Jess had her annual review at the hospital this morning and they are supposed to be in school this afternoon but we are staying home and hoping to go sledging this afternoon. Very naughty but who cares!!!
My husband stayed off this morning to help me out so I didn't have to try to battle through the snow and take all 3 kids with me to the hospital on my own. We had only been back home for 5 mins when his scholl rang to say he didn't need to head in as they were closing so, yay, snow afternoon!
I lost 3lbs at my weigh-in last night, which I hadn't expected after the pizza on Sat night and the toad in the hole on Sunday. Just 0.5lbs to go until I have lost 10% - eek!
Runninglea - childcare is scary for two isn't it? You get excited when you see places advertising twin discounts but when you work out how little difference 10% off the 2nd child makes it is just a joke. We are very, very lucky that the in laws look after the 3 kids for the 3 days that I work, otherwise I'd barely be able to cover childcare.
Off to get the kids wrapped up and do some sledging followed by some housework and debtbusting!Est. debt free day April 2016 (ish) Debt at June 2010 £34,247.13Debt at Dec 2011 £27,499.09 (19.7% paid off)Working together with DH on our debts (twindad07)Long haulers supporters DFW #2560 -
Hi - have a fun day
Yes childcare is about £80/ day for two. My OH parents have agreed to have them on a friday and keep them to saturday. This gives OH chance to do one day a week work and some private swimming lessons on sat morning.
This has been going for two weeks but the inlaws are now on holiday for 3 weekends so OH cant work until after christmas.Year 2019 (1,700/£17000mortgage repayment)Overall mortgage (71,400/165568) (44

Runninglea - it is a shame she is losing the chance to work in the run up to Christmas but I guess at least she has the chance to work, even if it is just for her sanity!
Happy - just aim to not have twins or more, that's when childcare becomes ridiculous!Est. debt free day April 2016 (ish) Debt at June 2010 £34,247.13Debt at Dec 2011 £27,499.09 (19.7% paid off)Working together with DH on our debts (twindad07)Long haulers supporters DFW #2560
