Anyone dislocated their wrist before?

Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone has dislocated their wrist before, or a bone in the wrist?
I thought I just had a ganglion that needed draining, but the doc became concerned that I had dislocated one of the bones and sent me for some x-rays yesterday. Results should be ready by Monday, but a) I'm not convinced it's dislocated and b) I haven't been able to find much info on Google.
So....just wondering if anyone had experienced this before and what theirs symptoms were? I can still use my wrist, but it's painful and I can't put any weight on it. I put this all down to the ganglion, but maybe I'm wrong. Surely I would know if I had dislocated it?

I had an accident many years ago where i 'broke' my wrist - but actually i had dislocated it and broken my forearm at the same time - i.e. the largest bone was out of place where it connected to my wrist, and the smaller bone was fractured along it's length - hence being treated as a break, hospital stay, general anasthetic and 6 week cast... They put it back in place while I was unconscious.
It was usable at the time it happened, and i kept insisting it couldn't be broken, as it didn't hurt enough :rotfl:
The fact that my hand was not at all aligned with my arm any more seemed to escape me at the time
I can't give any details about treatments etc, other than dislocated things should generally be re-located as soon as practicable... I wouldn't worry too much about it, and wait and see what your doctor recommends. And rest it as much as possible in the meantime.0 -
I'm still hoping it isn't, that he's just being cautious and making sure he hasn't missed something.
There just doesn't seem to be a reason why it is dislocated, but then my wrists have always been a bit weak and so it's not uncommon for me to feel discomfort quite often without me really thinking about it.
Fingers crossed all will be OK and IF it's dislocated they'll just need to 'pop' it back. Heading to the UK next Friday morning to see family and friends and really don't want to miss that.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
