Shame - there was some decent discussion on this thread now being swallowed up by lots of unnecesary posts (by several people I would suggest). Use the ignore button rather than keep feeding - its much more effective

Its fun to have a plaything though, even if he does resort to childish insults

You will have to work harder than that to get PPRd.

Its actually a form of bullying IMO despite what ever rubbish gets spouted back at you, and it ruins threads that may contain useful info for others

Oh, and it's not just abroad.

I've just paid almost £700 for 4 DAYS at Butlins in the August Summer Holidays. If I choose to go now it'll cost me around £200. Holidays anywhere are expensive for families and if it means the poorer families can get a holiday then 10 days should be allowed otherwise you are creating a 2 tier system and the 'poor' children will always be picked on for going without.

Everybody needs that, even if it is just for a few days, however for the poorer, lower paid families they would not be able to afford a holiday in the summer holidays so why should they lose out.

My DH is a teacher and I also work in a school. We have 3 kids. Had our first summer holiday last year and wont be having one this year or next year as its just too expensive during the schools holidays.

So does that mean my kids are losing out?
Yeh in some ways it does because nearly ALL of their friends are having holidays this year as their parents take them out of school at term time so its A LOT cheaper. But I get to spend the whole 6 weeks with my kids doing lots of lovely things that arent going to cost me a fortune and I am sure we will have a lovely time.

It is not bullying, I hate that term being devalued, if you had seen or experienced the real thing you would not bandy the term about willy nilly.

AUK has been repeatedly insulting, rude and provocative to individual posters, if he does not wish to be called to account for it he should not post such commentary. If people respond in kind on occasion he has no one to blame but himself.

Why should we have to use the ignore button? he should behave properly. Where is the personal responsibilty in everyone else changing, and for him to then go along to the next thread to do exactly as he has done on here.

He either has serious issues, is just engaging in baiting, or is actually two people. Unless he comes out and says he has MH issues then he should be called to account for his reprehensible style of posting.

Yes it is and yes I have seen it first hand thanks.

There are ways of dealing with posts like his and its the ignore button and reporting the posts as abuse which I did some pages back. There is no excuse IMO for getting dragged into it consistently and to keep posting back against the ridiculous insults and posts. It makes those people no better IMO than AnthonyUK.

If the guy has issues then he needs help and if he is a troll then putting him on ignore until he gets banned solves the problem. If you choose to get involved then so be it but it ruins threads with useful info

No, it isn't bullying, he is simply being asked to back up an assertion he made in a very rude and provocative manner. He then posted a link which did not in any way back his point, at which time his posting style descended even further downhill.

I never use the ignore button, if you wish to do so that is your prerogative.
