Yes, I have cable broadband, have a PAP2 ATA (analogue Telephone Adaptor) which connects to my router, this I use VoIPStunt and Sipgate on this without the need of a PC being switched on.

At one time VoIP Stunt offered VoIP-In numbers, which I have, but they have recently dropped issuing numbers, but you can set the CLID to anything you like, and use the Sipgate number for incoming.

Sipgate has no monthly costs, issue you a number for free, you just pay for calls.

VoIP Stunt you credit the account €10 (Ten Euro) and you get 300 mins of free calls per week to UK, USA, Aus and other countries, the free calls last 120 days when you need to top up again, if you don't top up then you lose free calls, but you can use your credit for chargable calls.

VoIP Stunt and their sister services makes Vonage look a rip off.

VoIP does save you a lot of money when you don't have to have a phone line, not having a phoneline is only possible with cable broadband.
