I'm using a DG834G (v3) if that helps. The closest I found int he list was UDP 69 and there doesn't seem anywhere I can type it in
On my DG834G v1, you have to create a Service first with a specific port or range of ports. You then add the Service to the Firewall Rules.

Login to your router, click services (under security), click add custom service, then select UDP and (type in) the port numbers you want to allow (then click apply). Then click Firewall and click on outbound, or inbound Add. You can then select this new custom service you added. Click Allow (as you want), then apply.

This will set up forwarding for the service you want.

You have to make sure you are using static routes or else next time you turn on your computers in a different order you'll be forwarding to the wrong place
Go to Lan IP setup and make sure the same computer always gets the same IP
(Address Reseveration at the bottom - click ADD and on the next page clicka button beside a computer and tell it the address to always use)

When I've set up port forwarding on the router, I've never set a static IP address. I always figured that this was forwarding the ports I want to any of my computers on the network. The adjustment is only made to the router firewall. The rule should apply to any computer on the network.

When I forward a port with my netgear router, it requires me to specify an IP in the "Send to LAN Server" (in the Firewall rules section)

If I tell it to send it to 192.168.0.2, then next time I turn on computers in a different order, a different computer might be assigned the number 192.168.0.2
