    Bad news I'm afraid, http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/seller-protection-faq.html
about half way down it says that you should sent to the paypal address if they differ.
All that should be set up so that if one changes the other does.
    Another good one for scammers.

The buyer has conflicting addresses between eBay and PayPal. Which one do I use?
If buyer paid with PayPal, the seller should use the address in the PayPal transaction details page. (This is also a requirement to qualify for PayPal Seller Protection).

How long ago did you post it?

    I posted it on Monday.

I still think your best bet is to try and get them replaced by the organisers.

Apparently I've got no hope of that. It's Isle of Wight festival.

Slightly off subject I got a neg off a buyer because I did not see a message requesting I use an address other than the Paypal one. I stated later I had to use the Paypal address regardless but she refused to remove the neg stating her instructions were not adhered to.

With special delivery, doesn't it have your address on? Won't it get sent straight back to you? If it's something that has to be signed for right the way through, doesn't that include getting it back to you?

I'm sorry but why do people pay extra for special delivery & not put their return address on it? Or on anything for that matter. I know that isn't what you want to hear.
I'm guessing that they were pretty expensive.

No they weren't expensive. Thanks for your help.
  • Hi, I hope you get it sorted Jennifer.

I always send items to the address Ebay tells me. I'll check whether it's the same as on Paypal from now on.

I'd stick to your guns and say it was the buyers fault for not updating their info on ebay. Forward a copy of the email you got from ebay with the incorrect address to the buyer so they can see it for themselves.

Portsmouth isn't too far from Surrey (well, parts of) so try and convince the buyer to go to the previous address to retrieve the tickets. They'd probably be getting the ferry to the IOW from Portsmouth anyhoo.

    Hope you get it sorted!

The Op did say that the tickets are on the way to Belfast.I presume they refused to sign for them when they saw it was not their name on the envelope and it has gone back into the postal system(prob never to be seen again!!)
