What's so confusing? I thought I'd written it quite plainly and in good grammar?

Sorry to disappoint or fail to fulfil a desire or expection ,but no -one asked you ,but now that you have declared .ThanksCopperPlate wrote:Good grief! Is all of this necessary?? Why not just post your CV's on the site and be done with it. That way, you can pick each other's history to pieces and fixate on one tiny, insignificant, irrelevant piece of information that has nothing to do with the original post whatsoever. From reckoning, it was a vent about Halifax and their apparently archaic procedures for reserving funds prior to payment of DD's and SO's, not whether posters have vested interests in defending, or otherwise, the processes followed by a bank. It's called a debate, a discussion - not some sort of McCarthy-esque hunt to seek out closet bankers or their affiliates.
And, just in case, I've never worked for a bank, financial institution, or any other financial services provider. So there

:rotfl: since when has it become an "invite only" to the boards?!
I believe we can all make a contribution without worrying that we're somehow invading a conversation on a public forum.
Besides, it's so way off-topic now anyway.
Thought you'd learned your lesson the last time. Obviously not.0

            The forum rules state:
These rules aren't very realistic as many users would have to include statements of their professional knowledge in almost every thread they post in. I'm certainly not going to do that - I have professional knowledge of many subjects.Forum users are asked to make it clear if discussing a topic they have professional knowledge of that they work in that field (but do not tout for business).
For the avoidance of doubt, and to stop kenshaz's pointless moaning, I am a Chartered Accountant and have been for many years; as an auditor I have audited clients in a variety of different industries including banking and insurance as well as many other areas. Accordingly, part of my income was indirectly linked to the success of banks and other financial institutions.
I also have shares in financial institutions, both directly and indirectly (through ISAs & pensions) and hence a financial interest in the success of banks and other financial institutions.
None of this affects my ability to hold a rational debate on the reasonableness of (in this case) Halifax's behaviour or (in other cases) any other business entity's behaviour.0

Mark I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for researching the site rules, although I do not feel comfortable with the fact that you do not intend to abide by them ,perhaps others will now see that it was unfair to criticise, when I was adopting the site structure ,I hope that your post has brought the fact to the attention of all ,and they will declare in future their professional interests. I have always had a great deal of respect for your posts and once again you have highlighted the factsMarkyMarkD wrote:The forum rules state: These rules aren't very realistic as many users would have to include statements of their professional knowledge in almost every thread they post in.
