High guys thanks to those who replied to my last post. You have eased some of the concerns. I know Ellieseleven responded on another thread to my next query but am still a little in the dark. I have just opened a new Nat West account in order to start my DMP, but today I have found out that one of my creditiors namely mint is owned by RBS and that i think Nat West is also in the family although there seems to be no branding of the fact. Does this mean I have the grief of having to open another account or are Nat West detatched0

Come on, squeeze in love, I think there's enough room!
Ooh thankyou! :blushing:
Did you know too much wine rots your brain? You can forget to allocate numbers and then you just distribute them willy-nilly to all and sundry?
Capital? - you can have number One :rotfl:
Thanks as always for your sterling advice and support.

Thank you Ian, ToothFairy & co I knew the defaults might come but it is scary when it happens.
I feel a bit better now despite being annoyed with OH about an unexpected bill (only £25 but I went off on one totally disproportionally) in fairness a complete one off for him.
Made some Jam tonight from some free cherry plums we collected on a walk which has cheered me a bit although the jury's out as to whether it will set (my first attempt):D
Enjoy your wine. Cheers to you all:beer:DMP mutual support member 3970 -

Hi am sorry to say this :(but RBS are owned by Natwest and there is a very real danger that they will use the set off rule to take money out of your new bank acccount. So it would be safer to open a another one.
Have you tried the Cashminder coop account they are very good0 -
Tweetiepickle thanks for quick reply. I was really hoping that because there is no mention of RBS on the Nat West branding all might be ok. Due to my work and being paid predominately cash and usually on a daily basis I will need a general high street highwayman as no co-op branches near me0

You can use the post office over the counter to pay money directly into your cashminder account, it goes on the account directly:)0 -
this list shows who owns who.............It may not be completely up to date but its a good guide

High Guys
I am entering a joint DMP with my wife. My question is can a card creditor soley in my name take money from an associated bank account in joint names. Can I have a number and any of that wine that is knocking around0
